Last year when we went I thought it was the best Chinese Buffet in the Lansing area. Last night we went and were very disappointed. Several empty serving dishes, not a good selection, food was mediocre and bussing was almost nonexistent and our table was sticky though it was supposedly ready for customers with place mats (upside down) and flatware. Couldn't get an employees attention to wipe it so took clean napkin and water from my glass and washed it myself. Very few employees visable.
This place has closed permanently. June 2016.........how can i add. More words when i just want to say....house of Ing has closed but the carryout place on south cedar "ingcredible" is open for carry outs.
They messed up my order and when I called them they said I was a liar.
The food was not that good my general tso's was not even spicy we will never be going there again
Negative reviews definitely sound like competitors. I've been to Fortune House over 50 times and it's always excellent. Big servings and always fresh and hot. Staff is very friendly also.
I found panda gourmet by a coming of by accident I was going to my normal place and they were closed, so I looked to see what the closest restaurant around me. Panda gourmet popped up and I ordered the same thing I normally order orange chicken ! It was incredible , you can defiantly tell they spend a little extra money to keep the qaulity good .most restaurants will cut cost In all the wrong areas. I have only got orange chicken and fried dumplings so I can only comment on those. Staff is friendly , they deliver too!! Fast delivery! I haven't dined in so i can't comment about that other then every time I go inside to pick up its always clean and looks nice. The prices are a little more then competition but for the qAulity of the food it is well worth it.
very good their fried wings are good
Horrible service.. never ask for delivery unless you want half an order a hour late..
This is by far the worst Chinese take out in Lansing! The soup was pure salt, the rangoons tasted like old cardboard, and the lo mein was mushy and flavorless. Since they were closed by the time I discovered how bad the food was, I called the next day and they told me that if I brought the food back, they would refund my money. Luckily I had had the foresight to keep the waste they called food, but when I arrived with the food (which was 95% intact), they were rude and gave me a hard time, claiming that they never get complaints and refused to give me a full refund. I will never eat here again!!! Absolutely HORRIBLE!
I have been a patron of the House of Ing since first going there with my parents as a young child nearly fifty years ago. This was one of my favorite places to eat all those years, but the service and food have been steadily declining for many years now. Last week I went to the House of Ing for dinner, for the first time in a long time. It was a major disappointment and will be the last time I will ever go there. The service was very poor and all but nonexistent - the waitress was impatient with my party and spent most of her time doting on other tables, including helping another waitress with a party, while ignoring and avoiding my table. Three out of the four dinners we ordered were not edible for various reasons, including obviously undercooked seafood. When we brought it to the waitress's attention she got someone from the kitchen. The man that came to address our issues was rude, defensive and argumentative. It was a fiasco and we were made to feel like we were trying to perpetrate a scam on the restaurant. In the end we were made to pay for the most expensive dinners, which just happened to be the ones we could not eat! My friend was charged nearly $15 for one small appetizer rib, an eggroll and a cup of soup. I was charged almost $22, and the dinner I ate was priced at a little over $10. There was nothing we could do or say to resolve the issues, short of calling the police, so we paid and left. But I will never again patronize the House of Ing and I will tell everyone I know about what happened there. In fact, the people I have told so far have not been surprised and have had their own stories of bad food and poor service. Lansing is losing an icon restaurant due to their own poor business practices.
