        The Fernwood Cemetery is a family owned company that is now in the fourth generation of services to the community. We specialize in above ground entombment and in gourd burials. There are choice gravesites through out the cemetery. Pre-need sites are offered with time payments. For loved ones, Christmas decorations and Easter Flowers are available. The gates are open every day for visitors and all religious faiths are welcome. There are ongoing trust funds for perpetual care of the cemetery grounds and buildings.

        Poorly Maintained Cemetery

        I was at Fernwood Cemetery 2 weeks ago for a funeral. My father is also buried there. I hadn't been at Fernwood for several years and I was really disappointed that at least 75% of the headstones were leaning right, left, forward, backward - any thing but upright and straight. I'm sure that the ground has been shifting but to see the headstones in disarray was unsettling. I paid a fee for my father's burial plot which included upkeep and maintenance. I'm sure everyone did as well. This is my personal opinion but it's a disrespect for the living and the deceased. Examples of what I mean can be viewed at http://www.graveaddiction.com/fernwoo.html.
