- I started working for Tip Top at the age of fourteen as a grounds man, and in 1976 I purchased Tip Top Arborists and began overseeing the companys daily operations. Seven years later, I received my Professional Arborists certification from the International Society of Arborists. Trusted by Cities, School Districts, Power Companies and businesses. $385 for a small stump removal, they told me it was expensive because the hill it was on and all the roots around it, the hill part I can understand, but don't all trees have roots...lol
Fair price, but I guess all tree guys are arrogant. This was not a pleasant experience. I don't get trees cut often, but I also don't appreciate being talked down to for my lack of arborist knowledge. I would probably not use them again.

Provided by Citysearch -I needed a stump removed. Found Tip Top Arborists on the internet and sent an e-mail requesting an estimate. The rep came down to Santa Clarita and quoted on a Friday and the stump was gone the following Monday. The price seemed reasonable enough, especially when the competition didn't even respond. In any case, the stump was ground down and the area was left in good shape and ready for planting something else. No issues.
