DO NOT GO THERE. I went there in desperation. They bled my money, delayed treatment and my friend still died.

overpriced, very rude and misdiagnosed my dog. I would rather drive 100 miles to a real board certified doctor than go to this make-shift wanna be surgeon. After talking to my girlfriend, seems they misdiagnosed her dog too and becuase of it her poor baby had to have her tail cut off. Plan on paying at least $4K to $5K just for the surgery, not even the xrays, meds, and therapy (accupuncture, dog swimming, treadmill etc) they try to sell you. RUN RUN RUN to another certified, licensed Vet!!!

Absolutely disgusted with this place and the people working here. I took in my 9 yr old dog after she had an abcess burst. The first vet tech freaked out when he saw it. The vet came in and did an initial exam but never actually checked out the wound. We were given an estimate of $1500. I asked what other options we had and they sent in the receptionist!!! When I explained to her that I wanted to know what the other treatment options were she looked at me like I was stupid. I told her that I'm not a vet and wanted to know if there was anything else the could possibly be done. She then proceeded to look at me with wide eyes and a nasty attitude and said, " well, I'm not a vet either". Needless to say, I told her to send in the vet with some choice words. Dealing with the staff here was like dealing with a car dealer. I didn't feel as though they cared about my pet or her well being. They were trying to turn a profit and that was that. All of them were unpleasant and rude. I have been using this emergency vet since the mid 90s and after this experience I will NEVER take any of my pets here ever again.

Stewart Stewart Stewart... Answered the phone at 300am when the friends dog I'm watching went into strange behavior of being off balanced and etc. I feared poisoned by eating something outside in enclosed yard. Stewart was calm and very upfront with options and general information including the middle of the night 95$ examination fee. How unique getting fair and upfront cost over the phone. Stewart explained exactly how to get there if I choose to and neither was alarming nor non-interested. Leaving me to make a choice of monitoring at house or bringing in for ease of mind to if worst signs start to exebit... Shortley after doggie was running around and fine... This dog sleep walks/stumbles the owner told me after the fact. Funny now, not then! Bottom line if the rest of Staff and Doctors are even 80% of Stewart's quality I will be a customer for life. Just this young man Stewart has guaranteed that I will use this ER Vet over any other when/if in need. Give Stewart a raise doc!

This was the second time we had to use this emergency vet,and I must say that Dr Sandu is a joke, very unfriendly and standoffish, no bedside manner what so ever, the staff was okay but all this girl does is sends you to the room and just keeps coming in the room like a car salesman with estimates on what they can do to save our pet , every time we say we cant afford it , first time $750, they come in with another $580 and then another $450 then they finally ask.."what can you afford? Geez anyone is going to want the best for their loved pet and willing to do anything, and all they want is their money, they dont give a rats butt about your pet, and while we were there we heard an animal scream in pain like I have never heard in my life!, we left there scared to death to leave our animal and by the grace of God our pet made it through the morning and we took him to our own vet for regular fees

Dr Sandu and his staff are the absolute best! They are all very caring compassionate people. We brought our yellow lab in 2 weeks ago after she sustained a horrible break to her tibia from being struck by a car. Not only were they wonderful that night that we brought her in, but they have been absolute saints during her after care. We have called in several times and have had to return for bandage changes and for treatment unrelated to the actually surgery on her leg and they never charged us an additional penny. Moreover, they have always been warm and welcoming from our first call to our tenth call! There is no doubt that they genuinely do care about their patients and not just the money they are going to make from performing their services. Our dog is still recovering, but I am sure that under Dr. Sandu's care she will heal beautifully and live many many more happy years.

TAKE TEST'S, GET BACK RESULTS AND THATS WHEN U ARE ABLE 2 MAKE A DIAGNOSTICS BASED UPON THE TEST RESULTS! I HAD MY GOLDEN RET. FOR 8YRS (MALE)- OSO, HE DIED 9 DAYS LATER AT HOME, IN MY ARMS, I CRIED SO HARD AS I HELD HIM, I TOLD HIM, I LOVE U & IAM SO SORRY NOT BEING ABLE TO COME UP WITH ALL THE MONIES TO SAVE YOUR LIFE! THE RECESSION IS DROWNING ME.... DOES THE DOCTOR KNOW ABOUT THE RECESSION??

Dr Sandhu and his staff war simply wonderful. They offer excellent care and affordable prices! My dog was attacked by a coyote and had a badly broken leg. Dr. Sandhu was able to save his leg and keep him comfortable. My dog is my baby and a part of our family, so Dr. Sandhu and his staff were very accommodating to me when I called or had any follow-up questions. Champ (my dog) has a few months of recovery time but he is home now and comfortable thanks to Dr. Sandhu!

Dr. Sandhu is a honest veterinarian. I have taken my dogs to him a few times for er treatment. He is kind and competent doctor. I'm relieved the AV has a good ER veterinarian.

I had brought my dog in to see Dr. Sandhu and his staff after he had fallen into my empty swimming pool. He had broke his leg in two places and was in a lot of pain. The staff was very friendly to me and very understanding. They were able to keep my big baby comfortable and pain free until able to do the surgery on his leg. Dr.Sandhu did an amazing job at repairing his leg, and it is healing . Thank you so much.. My dog is my baby and I want the best care for him and I feel I got it.

With a heavy heart and tears in our eyes, we can honestly say that the AV Animal & Critical Care group were wonderful. They took one of the hardest decisions we had to make and made it easier with compassion and a genuine heart. I brought my dog Bailey in to see Dr. Sandhu. I would have sold my house to save my dog that night but he was so ill and his body was full of pain that we had to say goodbye to him. Dr. Sandhu knew we needed his support and insight to make one of the most difficult decisions we have ever made. His genuine support during Baileys last moments and his team offering a shoulder to cry on when we left without him still resonates. Its a team of workers that love what they do the good and the bad.The only request of the good doctor is to open a general practice clinic to care for the rest of our pets...

Staff was polite and friendly. Hospital is absolutely beautiful, warm, clean and comfortable. Dr. Sandhu came highly refferred by my veterinarian, and I was impressed. He is a wonderful surgeon and I believed saved my dogs leg!
