Increased contact with large groups of people can heighten the spread of infectious diseases like colds, flu, pneumonia or COVID-19. And, cold weather months keep us inside more, which leads to higher spread of all things transmissible.

This means all individuals 6 months of age and older are now eligible to receive the a COVID-19 Vaccine. Widespread vaccination is a critical tool to help stop the pandemic. People who are fully vaccinated can resume activities that they did prior to the pandemic. Children 6 months and older are able to get the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine.

Gynecology
Most recently awarded her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Schauf also earned her BA in Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology close to home at Kansas State University. Schaufâ€™s medical interests include primary care, OB-GYN, mental health, and emergency medicine. She holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS).

All the wonderful providers and staff at Kearny County Hospital, the Family Health Center, and High Plains Retirement Village â€“ familiar faces in our own community who care for families, friends and neighbors every day. A special welcome goes out to our newest provider, Dr. Mark Frakes, who is board certified in family medicine with subspecialties in obstetrics, womenâ€™s health, and hospital medicine. Dr. Frakes joined us in May and is accepting new patients of all ages.

We are looking for a CRNA to provide a full array of anesthetic care services in a fully independent practice setting for inpatients and outpatients of all ages, including pediatric, adult, obstetric and geriatric populations. Cases include general, gynecology, orthopedic, gastrointestinal, urology, otolaryngology, obstetric anesthesia, sedation for imaging and emergency care, etc.
