Laurel Gardens Apartments

DO NOT move here if you are disabled. The building 6501 has NO disabled parking WHATSOEVER.

In addition to not being ADA compliant with their parking for this particular building, the water has been shut off 5 times since I moved in 2.5 months ago, we've been told we cannot park in front of the building for stretches of up to a week at a time for "maintenance" on the building that then does not happen, and they fixed the gate without giving any new tenants the code for it! My neighbor was trapped outside the property at ten o'clock at night with her two year old and one week old infant, unable to get into the property that SHE PAYS RENT FOR.

The lack of communication here is appalling enough to outweigh any of the benefits that I've encountered so far. My apartment is cute, the grounds are maintained, but that doesn't help me if I suddenly can't shower. It doesn't help my disabled neighbor who cannot PARK nearby, and certainly didn't help when someone was trapped OUT of their apartment by the spontaneously fixed gate.

If you appreciate a management company that communicates with tenants and appreciates them, TURN BACK NOW.

Unless you're truly desperate, DO NOT RENT!!



They took my entire $450 deposit after management told me everything was fine and would only charge me for a "standard carpet cleaning".



They charged me for the carpet cleaning plus full painting ($250) and housecleaning ($99). I moved out March 31st 2014, and I'm still trying to dispute the charges, but spend most of my time trying to get a hold of someone. Anytime I actually speak to someone, the manager is either busy or "looking into my case".



The neighborhood itself is disgusting, despite being right next to a military base.

Not worth the low price. There is mold, garbage and crime all over the place. I cannot wait to move out of here. Dogs poop every where (including in front of people's doors) and no one cleans up after them. The dumpster is always overflowing with trash and the sewage has backed up in the yard (and in my bath tub) on several occasions. The staff is rude and when I ask them to remove the horrible mold in my apartment, they just come and spray bleach all over the place and the mold grows right back. It's priceless... And when you see the beautiful office... HA! Don't even expect that kind of beauty to be in your future apartment!!! I would NEVER EVER recommend this place to ANYONE!
