One of the best restaurants around. Good food with good proportions and good prices, can't wait till they are open for dinner too in November
Had breakfast Saturday & Sunday. Food was hot and good. Nice size portions for the money. Management needs to tweak of few things. Both days the bread order came out after meal was served. I don't know why it does not come with the meal, not crazy about digging into my eggs without the bread there. On several occasions, while waiting for food, you look up and there in not one waitress on the floor, no one! With a staff of about 7 or 8 how could this be, not once but 3 times it occurred. Saturday, with a line out the door, there was no one going around refilling coffee or water. On Sunday, less crowded, we were half way done before our waitress appeared to ask if I needed a re-fill. When we were done, our waitress could not be found. Again, the only ones on the floor were the Hostess and Bus-girl clearing tables. 3 tables in my section were waiting for the bill. Finally we had to ask another waitress to get our waiter and the Hostess came over to check on us. No one could find our waiter, the Hostess had to get all of our checks. I asked the Hostess if our waiter quit, and she said that our waitress was filling a large to go order! Seriously, they don't have some one to handle that? How about the waitress behind the counter? My wife went to the bathroom and all the waitresses were congregating in the hallway.Come on Management, time for you to step in and manage. They need to designate someone for take out.
I will never visit this place again! The server's are rude and the owner is just a rude! When I called to talk them about not sending me the extra ranch I wanted with my to go lunch order or even a fork to eat it with, they said it was the customer's responsibility to ask for those things. Say what I have to ask for a fork to eat my salad with a to go order?! The waitress, Lindsay gets rude with me and when I get upset with the way she talking to me she hangs up. When I call back she does not realize I can hear her talking about me to the other servers and she is telling them I cussed her! What a liar!!! Then the owner calls and is even worse, absolutely no respect! No worries, I pass many restaurants on the way there and I will be sure to stop somewhere that has respect for the people who are the reason they are in business! And BTW there food isn't even that great and there prices are outrageous ! I paid over $30.00 for two people for lunch!
The fries here are amazing. The sweet tea is personally my favorit . And also the hospitality is amazing makes me feel at home when I go there .
Been going here for a few years now and have loved it all up till now. They must have gotten new owners because a lot has changed in the way of food quantity. The chef salad used to be my favorite in town but it is smaller portioned and the ingredients are cut/made smaller also. But still the same price. Too bad I really wanted to give it 5 stars but can only give 2. Even there pizzas have changed for the worse. Definitely will not be going out of my way anymore from work for lunch.
Even though it's a chain, Carrabba's is the best restaurant in Lakeland. The food is fresh, most dishes are interesting, portions are a reasonable size, the dishes are consistant, the wait-staff always smiles, their manager Susan? is tough but occasionally she gives away stuff (like when I asked for my second juice drink to be free if a second alcoholic drink is free during their happy hour [which she declined, lol]) but once she gave me a free appetizer card when there was a minor problem with something. Sometimes their desserts are incredible (First apple, then some raspberry/peach baked thing) and both were delicious, and I'm a former chef to I know good food. Most Floridians don't, know good food lol. They was big soft rolls, big mashed potatoes and lots of gravy, over-cooked green beans with fat back, big cheese-burgers with bacon - you get the picture.
Kids menu is frozen. Just order from the regular menu, but they really should remove the kids menu all together because the other food was really good. The kids food (I tasted it) was just beyond gross. I don't make my kids eat lesser quality food, so that made me feel like they did not value my kids or they would not sell that rubish. Especially when "Family" is in the name of the place.Seemed too much for one waitress to handle. I felt like there was one waitress when there should have been 2 or 3 and a little personality would go a long way! Nothing that can't be corrected if the owners care and make some changes.
I've went to there for spaghetti first I was quoted 14 dollars for an not even good portion of it and then the spaghetti tased like noodles and paste with meat added no sayce or flavor at all
Like the atmosphere and the Steaks are great! Prices are fair for the portions served.
