WORST VET CLINIC IN LAKELAND! THEY ONLY WANT YOUR MONEY THEY DONT CARE FOR YOUR ANIMALS, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY HERE!!!!!!
It cost me $1800 for 9 days treatment and my cat is in care of another clinic right now for a surgery for $1700 after what was done by Dr. IRELAND. He called me liar, horrible person, greedy for $$$. He accused me that I don’t care about my cat... Really??? Don’t go there. Take your pet and run some place else. They are money making machine !!! They don’t give a s.... about you or your pet. NEVER AGAIN!

So embarrassed to even be of the same species as these people. That any human being would deny a wounded animal care, even more horrifying that it was a veterinarian, is disgusting. Oh, that's right, they needed their pound of flesh before providing the care this badly beaten animal needed. Their actions are almost as despicable as the boys who mutilated the puppy. We have been tthrough soooo much with our great dane Lucy. Now let me start by saying she is our child. My husband and I don't have kids yet. I won't go into details of all the things we've gone through as it is lengthy. She is out of the woods now and healthy. I thank the nurses, especially Brittany and Chassidy there and also Dr. Fletcher for their caring hearts, listening ears and supportive ways. We love Lucy more than anything and are so grateful for them.

This DR has killed two savanah cats that im aware of who knows how many more by overdosing them with anesthesia. He needs his license revoked.

My dog got really sick! She had the runs and there was blood and it was horrifying... she was really sick! I took her to another local vet with the initials CHAH, located on Cleveland Hts Blvd. While we waited in their lobby she had a few accidents with bloody stool, so they could obviously see that she was in dire need.After about 2 hrs they told me they could see her that day but there would be a $150 charge for an emergency visit.... feeling exploited I agreed because my dog was crapping blood!!! They told me she had probably eaten something like a candy wrapper out of the trash and that would require surgery.... 2000 bucks worth of surgery and lots of dog pain worth of surgery. In the meantime, they would run some tests and the dog should take these antibiotics.... wrote a check for $400. Two days later I still hadn't heard back from the place on Cleveland Hts. I called several times and they said they were still waiting on test results, they would call me. I talked to my boss and he said he takes all of his pets to this really great vet, Dr Irelan. I called the office, got her in the same day. $80 later...I REPEAT 80 BUCKS later, my dog was cured. I told Dr Irelan about her symptoms and immediately he started naming off other symptoms I hadn't even mentioned. He was amazing. It turned out she had allergies, which affected her GI tract. He told me to take her off of the antibiotics right away and feed her chicken and white rice (not some special $50 food they just happen to sell). He gave meds for the diarrhea and the allergies. That $80 included meds!!!! By the way, never heard back from the place on Cleveland Hts about the test results. After a week of "We are still waiting on results" I tried to cancel the check but I was too late. It's been a few yrs and I still don't have those test results (Saw someone's bad review and thought I should leave mine) Over the years I have found that Dr Irelan really cares about my animals. His office may not be the fanciest, but his office visit is the right price and he KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING!!! I don't feel like I am paying for all those BMW's in the parking lot. I recommend Dr Irelan to everyone I know.

Not to be trusted at all. They engage in some wierd practices, such as Stud Services. Not a cool thing if you care about Rescue Dogs or Cats, and the fact that many are put down in Polk County every single day at our SPCA. And I had to wait over an hour for my appointment. And it was a weekday. If you care about animal welfare, or more specifically, you're own animal's welfare, you do not want to take the chance to come to this place. Extremely unpleasant.

Friendly and knowlegeable. Took time to determine what was wrong with our Siberian. Stayed late on a Saturday and did not turn us away. Dr. Irelan is a great vet and really treats your pet like an important member of the family. I would not go anywhere else.
