Wonderful place just sitting there on South Florida Ave. in Lakeland on the left. This is unbelievable. My husband is impossible to please, but Reececliff's (on Friday March 16, 2012) did it! Best chocolate creme pie I've had in 15 yrs is his quote. Same quote from myself and our dinner companions. another quote from Jim (husband) - best New England clam chowder I've had in years! His liver and onions perfect (thicker slice would be nice, but excellent flavor and texture). Unbelievable onion rings, mashed potatoes and gravy. My steak was nice, med rare, salad/homemade veg soup/french fries (you get 3 sides)...our friends thoroughly enjoyed their entrees (and 3 sides). Had joined the Reececliff website to get email bulletins, also immediately got coupon to try a free slice of pie (she and I had both brought one). The pies are as good or better than advertised by the wonderful lady who has been making them there for ""over 60 years"" ... we went between 4 and 5 pm (were told prices lower if had come earlier, but we wanted to hit it at ""down time"" - started filling up again after 5-ish. Good Stuff! Saw unbelievable chef salad - and super looking burgers (had to check out other folks plates as they were served. Good Stuff!
I used to travel to Lakeland and surrounding areas to audit appliance and tv dealers and every time I went to Lakeland I always tried to be there around lunch time to eat her because of their great food (southern style cooking). This place had the best coconut cream pie among all the other delicious pies
service wa great and the people were friendly. It is old school but I thought it to be an icon in Lakeland for good food and economical.

I went here for lunch on Saturday and I was the only person under 70. Plate lunches, sandwiches with fries, classic desserts, etc. I had a fried grouper sandwich, fries, cole slaw, and 'sweet tea.' An excellent place for an old school, casual lunch or dinner.
