I do not recommend Childrens Village. I withdrew my child in February of 2017 for a number of reasons, mostly due to safety concerns and because they were not consistently providing the required 2 teachers to 20 children ratio. My child's class was going on their 3rd teacher that year. There was high staff turnover, they were short staffed and would pull the teachers aide out to help cover in other classes. The staff that were there were unprofessional (often heard complaining and even arguing in front of children), unfriendly and dishonest ( I was given reasons why the second teacher left that I know was not true). When parents expressed concern over safety issues (large broken tree branches dangling from trees in the playground and broken equipment) we were told that it would be very expensive to fix. My child was tested but I never had a conference with the teacher. My two older children went to VPK there several years ago and I was satisfied with the school then. There was structure in the class but that is not the case now. Now it is run like a daycare and a bad one at that. Your tax dollars pay for VPK and you have the right and responsiblity to do your research and choose a quality VPK. I enrolled my child at a different VPK and we love it. It is so much better than Childrens Village.
I have 6 children who have attended this facility and I have nothing but good tgings to say. The staff is very attentive and caring. My kids learned so much.
my son attend this school for Pre k. this a great school. his teacher was ms. heather. she took the time to make sure that he was on track ready for kindergarden. by the time he finished he was doing simple math and reading. my son was just tested and is above levels on all areas. Ms jean, the director, is great lady very helpful. and helps push the children . she also guilds parents to find the very best education plans for each and every child. pastor justice is always walking the halls and check on the children. always a good morning and always a smile. I have recommend this school over and over. One happy mom
As a Christian church daycare .the pastor of the church kicked my son out . after all my son had been through. Then the director jean. Typed up a note that said my son had angry issue and he need a special need facility .one discipline reports.the next day i had to find another daycare with the note she type . The note i took to my dr. They evaluated him and said no angry issue.just a three year old boy . YOUR NOT A DOCTOR'S SO DONT TRY TO diagnose kids.
great place lovely and safe environment
I have two kids that attend this home school and I say school because she has taught my 1 year old his age abcs how to count bodyparts and much more. she very understanding if im a lil late..n my 2 year old is learning Spanish which iam very impressed. I recommend this daycare
My child is in the VPK program here @children's village and has shown tremendous growth. His teachers were recommended and I m grateful for that. All of the staff are great and the center is clean and well organized.
My first child started VPK in this school almost two years ago and he was a bit behind at the beginning but as time passed it seemed everyday he would surprise me with new things he learned. They did a complete turn around with him. I started our youngest here when he turned 1 and he is a little advanced for his age now at 2 and I owe a lot of that to this school and the amazing teachers. My oldest is in kindergarten now but goes to before and after school care at CVEC and he loves it. They take and pick him up from school which is very convenient for my husband and I with our work schedules. Both of my boys love attending this school and all four of us have great relationships with all the staff.
