Franklin Academy Boynton Beach Review:I sent my son for kindergarten to this school and pulled him out after the first week. I'm glad I did. It is an unsafe campus where non-background checked adults can walk freely. They have lost numerous teachers and the principle quit midway through the school year. The music teacher was fired for throwing her shoe at a kid. A kindergarten teacher was fired because her room looked like a garbage dump. A friend went to pick up her son at aftercare and they COULDN'T find him (eventually they did find him with a couple kids in a classroom that they should have had access to or have been in)!! This school is a mess. Every teacher is 22 years old and just out of college. Any of the teachers that are worthwhile are leaving this summer. There was a serious outbreak of the flu with 100's of sick kids because they weren't cleaning properly. The health department had to come in to see what was going on. Google this stuff it was on the news. They shut down the PTO facebook website because parents were getting upset about the noncommunication and serious issues going on at school. BEWARE!!! Everyone that I know is leaving this school.

My son has been going to this school since he was in kindergarten and started on the first day of the school opening its doors. He is now in 2nd grade and my youngest is in kindergrarten now. We have had a great experience from the beginning. We stressed over what school to send our boys to and are so happy with our decision. I walk into the office and am welcomed so warmly and by name. It is a private school feel. I feel confident and comfortable knowing my children are getting a great education and are in a safe environment. The teachers are great and communicate openly with parents. The school encourages parental involvement, which I think is a necessity. The fine arts schedule is great and includes: Spanish, Chess, Media, Technology, P.E., Music and Art. I would like to clear up some of the first reviewers comments. As it appears they are not from her experience, but what she has heard, as she stated they were only there for a week. All of the doors that open to the outside, are locked and only accessible to open with a swipe card or getting buzzed in. A License is needed when volunteering and for chaperoning a field trip a background check is mandated. The teachers are not all right out of college. Actually my sons kindergarten teacher this year has over 22 years experience and has been there since this school's first year. My other sons 2nd grade teacher has I think 6-8 years experience and has been at this school for 2 years and his first grade teacher had been there since the start of the school and has at least 15 years of experience. There are teachers of all ages and experiences, just like in any school. They are phenomenal!! The first year there were teachers fired that weren't a good fit for the job. To me this was expected, as a new school it would be nearly impossible that every single person they hired would be perfect. As to the reviewers statement of the 2 teachers that got fired in particular. 1 teacher did get fired for throwing a shoe at the wall, and another got fired for being unorganized. I am not sure why this is necessarily a negative thing for the school...it would be negative if they kept the teachers, but they fired them immediately, which is what you would hope a school would do. There have been a few other they have left or gotten fired, but every school has teachers leaving all the time and I am actually proud of our school for getting rid of teachers that don't work out. In the public school system, it is nearly impossible to fire a teacher and they continue teaching whether they should be or not. In response to the statement of hundreds of children getting the flu and the health dept investigated this, it is a very very stretched version of the actual truth. There was a Nora-virus outbreak that affected approximately 35 children. It is a highly contagious virus that takes 1 kid to come infected and spread it. The school nurse did a phenomenal job and reported it to the CDC to come and investigate it by early afternoon once she realized something was going on. The school closed, had great communications with the parents and over the weekend had a professional cleaning company come in to sterilize everything. The PTO events and spirit nights have a great turn out and you can see how much pride the families have to be a part of this great school.
Just to clarify one important thing, this is not just a daycare - it is a Learning Center. Not only do I highly recommend this place, I encourage you to visit them and see what a true daycare looks like. We have been together for 4 1/2 years with my daughter and 8 months with my son, who was only 9 months at the time we enrolled him. They know how to create a warm environment, they know how to give attention and care. Your child will embark on so many positive experiences. Their excellent/innovative curriculum, from art exposure, such as singing, dancing, drawing to math, reading and writing, will have a tremendous impact on your child's cognitive and learning skills. The first word that came out of my son's mouth, after "mommy" was "Thank you" and That he learnt in the daycare. I am not sure where some of the negative reviews are coming in; but I speak, based on my own years of experience with them, as an overly protective mom, very picky, focused on educational aspect of a child's development and last, but not the least - obsessed with cleaning. Every time you walk in this place, it smells fresh and clean. And it is clean! As I love to tell new moms who ask for a recommendation - We Have a Good History Together. I always say Imagination Station Early Learning Center is ABSOLUTELY the place to have your child in. My daughter and I, were tearful when we had to move on. The graduation ceremony was unforgettable. Two years later, she begged me to go and visit - she missed them too much. Every time we go back, we are received with a warmest "Welcome back!" Just like we say "There is no place like home", when it comes to daycare I say "There is no place like Imagination Station Early Learning Center".The staff is very efficient. The business owner and the director are very open to discuss any concerns/questions and work together to make everybody happy. And frankly, as a business owner, especially of a child care, I doubt you would want your parents, who are your customers, essentially, to leave unhappy. Having said that, realistically speaking, not everything, nor everyone is perfect; there are good and bad days, there are and will be incidents, miscommunication perhaps, but if you expect perfection and balanced harmony for your child, you are most likely to achieve it in your own house, under your own watch - may be... -Natalia
THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL ON THE FACE OF THE PLANET! PLEASE BE KIND TO YOUR CHILDREN & DO NOT SEND THEM TO THIS HORROR SHOW! The so-called "Principle"(Jackson Self) is nothing but a BULLY that thinks he is the President of the U.S. All he wants to do is control the parents, make rude & disrespectful comments about single working Mothers, harass parents, yell at them in front of their kids, have Teachers stand in front of your vehicle preventing you from moving up in the line to pick up your kids which causes severe traffic backup on Military Trail & talk to you with the up most disrespect. BEWARE of this so-called school...... please please please DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS SCHOOL. You will regret it. Nothing good will come out of sending your children here. Your kids will get hit; they won't know how. You will go to pick your kids up early; they won't be able to find them. Teachers will "claim" you hit them with your car WHILE THEY WERE STANDING IN FRONT OF YOUR VEHICLE TRYING TO TEACH YOU A LESSON. I honestly feel bad for SOME of the Teachers at this school. To have to work for a piece of work like that must be awful. If you want to have this issues and be treated like a child.. then go ahead.. but if you have respect for yourself & your children PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER SCHOOL, I know I just did!
