Unfortunately I had high hopes to get volcano rolls with scallops and the sushi chef said no. On a Monday with 3 tables in the entire resturant and the server was obviously new. Not that it was his fault. I left him a 20 dollar tip for the Sprite and lemonade we didn't touch. I was just astonished that the sushi chef didn't even try to suggest something different. Just "NO." The worst thing is that I had gotten it before at this location on a Friday. Needless to say I tipped my server and left. :/ Lost my business for the lack of customer service.

Overall
A Delightful Culinary Experience

Eating at Payathai can be summed up in one word: Awesome. I have had Thai food in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the U.S., and I must confess that every Thai dish at this restaurant is as authentic as you can get in Thailand without wrecking your budget. This restaurant also serves fresh- tasting and beautiful-looking sushi platters, truly reflective of the artistic vision and experience of the sushi chef. I relish every bite of my sushi and sashimi every time I order them.

Besides great food, customers always feel special when greeted by the gracious couple, chefs, and owners of the restaurant. They come out to talk to customers and make them feel at home. The restaurant crew is very attentive to customers, super efficient, and always cheerful. Service is superb even when the house is full!

Eating at Payathai reminds me of my mother's gourmet culinary dishes. The restaurant is not big but it is cozy; most of all, the food makes a big statement! If you're looking for a true experience of Asia's best, try Payathai the next time you're dining out.
