I reopened my account on December 1, 2016. A PNC representative told me that I would receive my bank card in the mail within 2 weeks. I really needed it ASAP, but I was going to receive it before Christmas so that was fine with me. Boy was she wrong! I visited the branch where I reopened my account to withdraw some money and to get some sort of help or answers to why I haven't received my card yet on January 12, 2017. All I got was a 1-800 number and a quick check to make sure my home address was correct. So when I got home, I called the 1-800 number and ordered a new card. The gentleman on the phone said it shows in the system that the card was mailed out already. He promised it should be here within 10 business days. Now here we are on Friday January 27, 2017 still with no bank card. I called the branch again, and explained what was going on. To make things even worse, she stated "What if someone took your card and changed the pin over the phone to use it!" As a customer, I feel like this is very unprofessional as a business to operate in such a manner. All I want is my bank card, and yet PNC representatives have a weird way of trying to help you. I never knew it was that easy to change a pin on a bank card. I'm still sitting over here thinking why would she say that or why even bank at PNC. It sounded like it happens often. In conclusion, PNC has failed over and over again on delivering promises. PNC has failed on gaining trust from their customers. On my next day off, I will close my PNC account and bank elsewhere. This is absolutely ridiculous! I waited almost 2 months for a simple bank card that has yet to arrive. Why can't I just get one from the branch when I reopened my account? Sloppy job PNC, you guys as a company need to get it together!
