This is a great gym. Staff is more than helpful. Kid and older generation friendly. Built for all training programs! Powerlifting, MMA cardiotraining Tony, Toby, Joel & Debow absolutely the best!
To start off with the good, the gym prices are incredibly reasonable, and by far the best in town. If you're interested in lifting weights, moreso than cardio equipment, this gym has tons of machines to choose from. The equipment is a little dated, but it works just the same. However, after nearly one year of going here, I have caught ringworm TWO TIMES. You will never see any staff cleaning or maintaining any of the equipment, if you want a sanitary machine, you can use one of the dried up wipes that are provided. So even if you try to wipe the machine down yourself, the amount of fluid on those dry little sheets will not sanitize anything. The bathrooms are tiny, typically soaked in water, and always reek of bowel movement because of the terrible ventilation system. Further, the gym uses an archaic membership system. You go in, you physically sign your name on a piece of a paper, they look up your "account" which is on an index card. You can ONLY pay in cash or check, which is also ridiculous. Finally, which sometimes I feel is the worst part of the gym, is that the gym has a "good old boys" crowd. Lots of people standing around talking to each other, taking up several machines, in fact I have been asked to move off of a machine because a group of lifters wanted to use it. The gym owner is relatively unfriendly and difficult to work with, and really seems like he doesn't have the time of day to give to people who aren't part of his little "good old boys" network. As I mentioned, its the least expensive gym in town with the largest selection of equipment, but after nearly a year, I realized I'd rather pay a little more for a better gym.
