Overall
Finally, an honest, skilled mechanic!

Jamie [Alford] has replace the head gasket in our Subaru three times.



Background: Bought a poorly-maintained car, gasket blew, they towed it in for free, no warping or cracks in head, paid just over $1600 head gasket replaced, water pump, belt tensioner, thermostat, etc. About 800 miles later engine started missing again, then overheated (above the red) after driving two miles. Got it back a week later, drove it just over 24 hours, over-heating and missing again. Talked to Aaron today and he told me he doesn't know how, because it was checked and checked and checked again, the machine shop overlooked a spot in the head. After talking to Subaru about the repeated problem they strongly recommended replacing the radiator because of a chalky-residue found in it. Aaron quoted me for the parts and told me there would be no additional labor charge. They should have it back to us tomorrow evening.



As frustrating as it has been, I feel they have been nothing but honest with us. I appreciate them, and am estatic that I have found an ASE Certified technician that I can trust.
