The management and the maintenance will ignore your issues. Our apartment flooded on December 16 and they have yet to take care of our issues. We have filled out several reports and called, but to no avail. We have been told, “we don’t have time to fix it;” “we don’t know when we can get it done;” and, because part of our ceiling is falling in, “it seems like you’re concerned because your apartment is unsightly.” It’s been six weeks and no plan of action has been drawn up. We are looking for a new place to live.
I suggest not renting from this company as some of the things in the lease agreement are not legal considering indiana landlord tenant laws. They require you to pay to have a professional clean the carpet upon moving out or they will charge you for it, they charge ridiculous amounts for normal wear and tear/cleaning and do not expect to receive your full deposit. We paid a professional from Stanley steemer 120$ to clean the carpets and I spent a lot of time cleaning the apartment, and they still charged us 85$ for carpet cleaning!!! When we submitted a receipt to them upon moving out! And 150$ for cleaning! There was nothing to clean really. I spent so much time using baking soda and vinegar in the oven, doing what I could to get the stand up shower to look pristine, and just cleaning random stuff that goes unnoticed with furniture. It was a one bedroom apartment. There is no way it was 150 worth of cleaning. We called themLAST WEEK to sort it out and they still haven't gotten back to us. Don't waste your time and effort on this company, they will do what they can to rob you. It's pitiful that they can treat tenants that always paid on time and are clean and responsible this way. They made us go months with a leaky ceiling on top of it all, and I bet you they never repaired it for the next tenant. They probably patched it over once more and let the mold go. All i can say that's good about the place is that Kathy is nice. She showed us places and was very friendly.
This has been the worst people to rent from. I have been a renter for almost 10 years and never had any problems until this past year. No matter how well you clean your apartment when you move out they will take your entire security deposit. Then when they send you an itemized receipt the math will not add up. When you email them questions they avoid them, threaten you, and basically call you a liar. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. Many people are frustrated with their lack of professionalism. If you are currently renting from them get everything in writing and take photos of EVERYTHING, even if you think it will not matter. I wish I took a video of when I had to plunge the sink in the bathroom because it kept clogging. It looked like an entire wig came out of that drain from the years past. That was after only living there for 3 months. Maintenance will not give you notice when they are working on your apartment. You will not get 24 hour notice when they are going to show your place or a cancellation notice. And you will be paying way too much to live next to drug dealers.Read all the reviews on Google and you will notice how many low ratings they have been getting recently.
Great company! Great Staff! Always helpful and the maintenance does a great job taking care of issues in a timely manner!
The manager of Titan is one of the most rude, unprofessional people I have ever encountered. If you like being yelled at, insulted, cut off, and personally criticized then this is the manager and company you want to deal with. The manager is not willing to work with you and "doesnt feel like dealing with the paperwork" in order to try and help you. Despite paying for a full month of rent, you will not be able stay until the end of the month (well some people are allowed to stay, it depends on the managers mood). No matter how many maintenance request you put in, things will not be fixed. The apartments are riddled with mold and mice. All I am saying is it would be wise to rent elsewhere.
They do not take care of there tenants we lived in a house that had mold for three months and when I went and told them about it they intimidated me to leave the building they then came THE DAY RENT WAS DUE to fix it and when I told them that I would have rent THEY EVICTED ME THR DAY RENT WAS DUE And said that we were the ones that caused the mold the toilet overflew EVERY time we used it and when we went to our landlord to tell him our upstairs bathroom was overflowing he told us we are on a one story it would leak so bad that it caused water damage on the downstairs walls and on the stairs pics below are proof of this
Very hard working and caring staff. These people have been in the business for 20 years and know what they are doing!!! This company has certain standards and will NOT manage slumlord properties. Thank you for being a stand up business, you don't get much of that anymore.
The absolute WORST property management company I've dealt with in my entire life. If you ever make the mistake of signing up with these guys, rest assured, they'll charge you a lot even after deciding you won't resign the lease. Why ? They'll say your apartment was dirty, the blinds were broken, the bathroom was dirty, the fridge was dirty, the slabs were dirty DESPITE the fact that you would've given them a CLEAN apartment back. They are the absolute WORST. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT sign up with these guys. Why do I even have to give these slumlords a star ?
I did not actually get around to being a tenant for Titan, however, I did sign their "commitment agreement." The agreement is in conjunction with a commitment deposit, which will be attributed to your security deposit once a lease is signed. The agreement has a clause that states the refund is non-refundable unless it is paid prior to the applicant being denied through their formal application process. They tell you repeatedly that the agreement does not guarantee the property, and that you must be approved through their application process. If you ask, they will tell you that you will absolutely be refunded if formally denied, but in reality, you will be forced to take them to small claims court where the leasing agent, Chemai, has no qualms committing perjury, stating they told you that you were approved at the signing of the commitment agreement. In my personal case, this is exactly what happened. I knew that I would be denied on the application process for various reasons, but I was going to use my girlfriend's proof of income and information to be approved. So, I signed the agreement and paid the $800 deposit. My girlfriend, for more various reasons, needs the health insurance that her current job provides (in Michigan) so she couldn't move by the "committed" move in date, and therefore neither could I. No big deal, I'll explain the situation to Titan and ask for my deposit back. If they say no, I'll apply, get denied and get my deposit back. So that's what I did, and I was found disapproved so I emailed Titan to let them know if I did not receive my deposit I would have to take them to small claims court. I end up having to take them to small claims court. I bring all the proper evidence to show that Titan never attempted to contact me after the submission of my application, deeming me disapproved as well as all the proper evidence to show that in our legally binding contracts, I should be refunded my deposit. In the end, it came down to Chemai lying under oath to the honorable Judge Laura Zeman, stating they had told me that I was approved at the signing of the "commitment agreement." Apparently, in Judge Zeman's court, legally binding contracts and physical evidence hold no weight when pitted against the word of a morally bankrupt leasing agency, and she awarded me nothing. I assume she was punishing me for "rolling the dice."
Terrible, money hungry slumlords that wont come dix anything you call them about to come fix.
