I've been going to this salon for 7 years. Every time I left feeling myself beautiful and happy. Relaxing friendly atmosphere, high quality service, creative hair stylists, great variety of products. I'll recommend this salon to everybody who wants to look the best.
I always have comments on how great I look after visiting this salon. I do perm every 4-5 months and before I found this place I had problems with my hair not looking naturally curly. After I started visiting this salon nobody think that I have permed hair, it looks so natural and healthy! My stylist gives me advices how to keep my hair look shiny and not dry. She always follow my requests and is very creative in making me look beautiful.

I have had the owner of Chequers Hair Studio, Joyce, cut my hair for nearly 20 years. I I feel so fortunate to have found such a great stylist so close to my home. Over the years, Joyce has cut my hair into several styles and given me permanents. As my hair has grayed she has helped me with a coloring that is fitting for my skin tones. She has always listened to my desires and respected my life style when ever making suggestions to my hair needs. Joyce is always friendly and makes me feel special. I highly recommend Chequers Hair Studio.

I have had my hair cut twice at Chequers, both times by Michele who was recommended to me by my husband. The first time, I went in for just a trim, Michele did exactly what I had asked for. The second time that I went in, I had wanted a more drastic change and even brought in a photo. Half way through the cut, I decided that I wanted an entirely different cut but I wasn't able to explain exactly what I had in mind. While Michele did good with the cut, she did not offer any ideas. I had recently moved and parted ways with a stylist of 10 years, who knew my hair inside and out and to whom I could leave my hair and would always walk out satisfied, so perhaps I'm a bit spoiled and expect more guidance -- I guess, I need my hand held a little bit.
