My husband and I stopped a few months back while visiting relatives and we were surprised at how warmly we were greeted. I wanted to get a small handgun for myself and they were very helpful in letting me hold several models to see which fit my hand best. In the end, I choose the Shield model as I had read some great reviews. I've been to other gunshops where you can walk around for an hour without a greeting but I can tell they are making a big effort to make you feel welcome.
As a gun enthusiast, I've been to ATP since they are the largest shop in town and have a range, but my wife pointed out a small sign that said "Guns & Ammo" so we decided to stop in. While the shop is small, they pack in over 300 firearms from what they told me. They offer all the common brands like Colt, Glock and Smith & Wesson but they also offer guns for competition shooters like STI. I was shocked to see over a dozen high end handguns front and center. The owner or possibly manager is an ex-marine named Randy. I swear he is the spitting image of Chris Kyle from American Sniper down to the southern drawl and bushy beard that the special ops guys wear. Let's face it. There are lots of gun shops all over the country. But it's rare when you find a small ship with a good selection AND is willing to take the time to talk and find out what suits a person best. I could tell that things are very casual and these guys went overboard on being attentive to everyone that walked in.
