Watch out your take out order. About a month ago, we ordered out some food after we had lunch in the buffet. We were charge $ 5.99 per Lb even the sign said $2.45 per Lb. My 83 years old father was alone at the time and he was little confuse about the price. He paid for it anyway. Soon I found out and questioned about the price. I was told even we took beef and chicken, but there were some shrimps and fry fish in the plate and it considered as sea food. So the charge would be $5.99 per Lb. . They even told me that my father was lucky that they did not charge him sea food price, which was $8.99 per Lb. They charged my sister took out order for $2.45 per Lb and my sister took the same food as my father did. I think it is an ill practice to take advantage of my father elderly age and charge him unfairly. Since it was a lunch buffet menu, it should be charged as lunch take out price and should not be a matter of what you were taking out unless it was a special order. We don't think we will go back there anymore, at less not for a long time.
The food are great and we go there once for a while. Today My son and I went to this buffet again.. I decided to buy some take home food after finish eating. When I was scooping up some Mongolian beef, I tried to avoid the onion because I do not eat onion. A restaurant worker came to me and told me that I could not do that. I thought it was a buffet and we could pick what we want to eat. Anyway I stopped and choose a different dish. I took 3 piece of deep fried fish and some deep fried desert. I put them both in one container. I was charged $9.45 for total wt of little under 3 Lb. Base one the take out price for $2.45 per Lb. It should be $7.35. When I questioned about it. I was told the different was tax. I really do think the tax is 29% that high. I think they charged me a different price and did not want to confess. So I would suggest you do not do a take out order.
Shanghai Chinese Restaurant & Mongolian Grill is a great restaurant! The servers and cooks are very polite and friendly. And the food is very tasty. Because I'm a big guy, I did the all you can eat mongolian grill. It's like 7 bucks during lunch and 11 during dinner. During dinner they have so many types of seafood. I would definitely recommend coming in for dinner if you love seafood. It's a cheap eat! My girlfriend ordered one of their combination dinners. She didn't know it would be so much food. She ended up taking half of it home. Unfortunately, we can't take any of the mongolian grill home but why would you after having stuffed yourself?! I also got free refills on my soda. My girlfriend ordered a long island ice tea from their full bar & lounge. Next time, I'm going to have to sit in the lounge.
Great customer service, delicious affordable meals with huge portions. I would suggest this restaurant to everyone. They also deliver! Best chinese in the area, by far! Try them out, you won't be disappointed!
Sushi is good but Chinese style cooking is not really Chinese. Price is confusing when you order to go. Don't mix meat with seafood because they will charge you for seafood price.
Ok food for the price, but too many people working there to CLEAN or TALK in Chinese. Not enough privacy I think...
If they cooked their food a little faster it would be great. The food tasted excellent.
