Overall

The actual service was great, as it has always been. However, unlike prior experiences we weren't able to pin down the schedule for the service call closer than sometime between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm. Appreciated the technician calling first week in the morning to then narrow it down. Also, was no longer able to schedule online without having to speak with a CS representative. Should note that this was the third call for this unit within a two month period.

Like all people I hate waiting 4hrs to not know if it will be ten minutes or three hours.....yet, the wait was something I had to deal with because it is not easy to get someone to come to you to fix a lawn mower/tractor and to haul it sucks.....
So, when everything is said and done, the tech was prepared, polite, helpful and knowledgeable and I didn't have to search or load my mower.
I give everything a 10 and am glad there is a business out there that does what sears does and with the type of employee they sent......)..I wish him and his family the best.......thanks

The tech who did the repair was wonderful. My problem was with the time he showed up. I was given the time frame when I made my appt. (between8-12). I called the service center at 12;30 when no tech or phone explaining why to me. I was told by the rep that they were running late....I replied "why no phone call don't you feel my time is as important as yours?" and then hung up. An hour later I received an automated call saying my tech would arrive between 1:30 -3:30. Then at 2:30ish I received another automated call saying my tech was on the way. Finally he shows up at around 4:30. I asked him what had happened and he said he was delayed at another job which I totally understand and asked if I had not received a phone call. I told him no and that I called . He stated he had called the center and asked them to please call me and let me know. I was not upset with him.......I was upset with the lack of consideration from the repair centers reps on MY TIME.

Our dryer was not drying efficiently, so I scheduled a maintenance servicing.



The tech that came was a nice guy, knew our dryer seemingly well, he jumped right in and got to work. He tested the unit before and after and said it tested properly. The tech said the problem was likely in the exhaust vent in the house, and that the dryer vent must be clogged.



So a couple days later I called a technician that cleans air ducts to see if they could get to the exhaust port on the 2nd floor of my house where it is located. He could not find a clog.

Surprise... He pulled the dryer out and unhooked it from the wall. The hose was about 90% clogged up with dryer lint. So why did the Sears tech not pull the dryer from the wall and check the hose if is is all part of the dryers functionality??



Because the Sears tech was not thorough - I spent an extra $100 for a 2nd technician that was not necessary.



I am really unhappy with this service call.

The tech did not show in 5 hr window. Had to order part even though they new at time appt. was made they needed it. The CS dept. promised shop your way rewards points for my trouble. I have yet to receive them. They did finally make it and it was repaired one week later. This is not the first time I have had this experience with Sears.
