I have had the pleasure of using Texican transmission and motors for over 20 years, highly respect the knowledge and honesty of this company, will continue to use them as long as I have vehicles that need TLC, :-)

the next vehicle I'll be bringing in next week God willing is a 2003 SSR for a transmission service and to see if Johnny's specialty can come in handy at the possibility of making it shift a little tighter, :-) thanks

I was visiting El Paso for a week. I found myself dealing with a dead Corolla 2 days before my return trip to Utah. I suspected a starter as the battery voltage was perfect. I was sorta in a pickle.
I picked this business ONLY because he was close to me. Just a shot in the dark. I researched them a little beforehand on the BBB and saw an A+ rating, so I had the car towed there and crossed my fingers.
Well, the owner Johnny called a couple hours after my car was delivered to him, and confirmed yes it was a dead starter. He told me a price, which I later confirmed by phoning a Toyota dealer, was LESS than half of a quote from a dealership in El Paso.
He said it would be done the next day, and even offered to bring the car back to me.
I was able to get a ride there the next day after he called again telling me it was finished and the quoted price was exactly what I paid. LESS than 24 hours and he was done with it!
Johnny was very professional, and very nice.
I may never need a mechanic in El Paso again, but if I do, I won't go anywhere else.
Overall a very fast and fair deal. He saved my cookies!

I took my bronco there with multiple problems and he was able to help me figure them out and get my vehicle fixed. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. It was the best shop experience I have or probably will ever have. A definite thank you for going above and beyond what any other shop would do. (BEST MOM & POP SHOP EVER).

Awesome Job!!! First of all, I had never done business with this shop in the past, until about two weeks ago. I am one of those people that dont go to a mechanic that is not recommended, but my transmission was in need of a complicated repair and I knew it had to be some one certified, that way it would be worth spending the money. I went by the reviews the shop has online, everything I could find. I could not find a dispute unresolved. So I went for it, they offered a fair price for the repair, kept me updated. When I went to pick up my SUV, Johnny (the owner) showed me the parts that were replaced. Excellent customer service. After I picked up my SUV, when I came home I noticed a wired noise, I took it back the next day, and Johnny checked it out right away. They replaced the part that needed to be changed with no extra charge. He said so him self "if its something we did, we will take care of it." and he did just that. Not only that but the warranty I got on my rebuilt transmission is good for one year and valid nation wide, so this was a good investment. So overall, a job well done!!

This is a great place to bring your car for any type of repair. i recently blew my main seal and had to take my car in for service. The quote I was given was far below any other place in town and seemed very fair. I got my car back in just a few days and left a very happy customer. I would recommended Texican Transmissions to anyone who want to save time & money.

I have had my cars and trucks repaired at Texican Transmission and Motors for over 20 years and never had a bad experience. The mechanics are courteous and knowledgeable. The job is completed when they say it will.



I spoke to the owner about the previous bad review and he told me that this person wrote a bad check, he had to repossess the car and the lady was the most vile customer he had come in contact with.



No wonder they can't remember what the other mechanic said. They are probably still looking to collect on their bill.
