Look on YELP for more reviews on this daycare.

I have two boys who have attended TLC for a year. My five yr old had a teacher named Amanda; my son who turned three; transitioned in early September into the three yr old classroom. The teacher Angie was new when my son transitioned to her class.

Not soon after she started; September 2012 my son had his first incident. Angie pointed out to me a BIG BUMP  in the back of my son's head; she told me he was standing up in the cafeteria on the seats &, fell backwards because he was not use to the bigger table. She said she will have the incident report ready on Monday since she didn't have time to do it right there & than. FIRST MISTAKE by not writing up an incident report in time. When Monday came she never had the report.

In November 15th 2012 Another incident happened with my son again where he was playing outside with another boy outside; he had a BIG SCRATCH on his face . Another teacher advised me of the incident. The teacher explained to me that my son was wrestling with another boy. I asked the teacher in front of the director if Angie was watching my child; the teacher said “yes” there were three teachers out there plus the director at the time of the incident. This accident could have been avoided if my child was properly being watched.

I spoke with Donna (director) about the first incident as to what happened when Angie Hernandez (teacher) first took over the classroom about my son's accident. Nobody knew about the incident. Angie failed to notify Donna (director) or a another teacher of the incident. If the incident happened in the cafeteria as she said; than someone should have been aware about the incident.

The next day I asked Angie what happened & ,she got very defensive in the hallway & , very ugly as I questioned the first incident as the second incident just happened the day before.. She said; "since I did not mention about the report to her she didn't mention it either &, since she told me verbally she felt that it wasn't necessary to write one up". Now this is a person who taught at another daycare called Kid Ranch in Kyle TX. I told Angie that it was not my job to remind her about incident reports; she is the teacher &, if she said she will have the incident report written up for me on Monday than it should be ready to be handed to me when I walk in that morning. Incidents are serious matter &, should not be ignored.

After the second incident the teacher stopped acknowledging my child &, had her back towards us every morning &, every afternoon when I picked up my son. This so called teacher “Angie” is unprofessional, as no teacher should act like that towards any parent or child. Angie is not professional when dealing with issues. From my understanding she had staff problems from her previous daycare job.

Two weeks later my son had a third incident on December the 5th where he was playing with a tractor trailer behind a log cabin house where he was not visible; fell over on his stomach which was red. Angie said; "it just happened as she was walking up the stairs to the building". Now I have no idea why she would be leaving the children outside unattended. My son was playing behind a log cabin house where she was not able to be seen.

Three physical incidents happened within a four month time frame with Angie. When a teacher gets upset when you question; accidents in her care that is a RED FLAG. The matter was brought to the Director Betty about what was happening &, she had excuses for everything. Apparently she only cared about the daycare's reputation &, not the care of my child. I would not recommend any three yr olds in the classroom of TLC. Betty (director) was no help in resolving any issues even though she knew about the problems.
