I grew up in this church and had the awesome privilege to attend the Christian school there. I cannot say enough good things about this place! The members genuinely love one another, pray for each other, and bear one another's burdens. Pastor Holloway has faithfully led the church for nearly thirty years. He models a life of holiness, compassion for others, and dedication to serving Jesus with joy. God is doing amazing in the life of our church, and the best is yet to come! If you're looking for a loving family of faith in the Kokomo area, we invite to you to be our guest in church this week!
I grew up in this church/school. All the while I was being sexually, physically, verbally, emotionally and spiritually abused. When the current pastor came and found out about my abuse, he did nothing, and he allowed my dad(my abuser), Don Croddy to stay in the church and work with children. He only recently asked him to leave because I finally sought help for my abuse and took back my voice and spoke out about my abuse!!!!!
This is a very dynamic ministry!!! Wow, there is so much anointing here and people are getting healed and delivered by the power of God. The pastors of this ministry are thoroughly trained in the Word. Its a new ministry and people are starting to find out about Citadel of Faith. This is the place to be if you are tired of the norm.
If you like expository preaching and in-depth Bible study (and doctrine similar to Moody Bible Institute), blended music (both traditional and contemporary), and a somewhat casual atmosphere, you'll probably love this church. They have AWANA for age 3 through grade 6, a great youth group, and a variety of events. The church is about 200 people, and most people dress casually. NIV Bible is most common. Church servies are mostly aimed toward believers. Although they try to use terminology, etc., to accomodate seekers, services are aimed to deepen believers. So this should not be considered a "seeker sensitive" church. The church is a fair mix of ages, perahaps a bit on the young side.I have to admit that I especially love this church: I have been its pastor for 24 years!
