Amazing! Mary Elizabeth and Polly from the alterations team completely saved my wedding, and I know that I'm just one of the MANY "emergencies" they see every day. I cannot thank them enough! With only a week to go, I thought I was doomed to have an ill-fitting dress after two rounds of alterations at a different David's Bridal store and was about to swear I'd never shop there again. However, my experience at the Knoxville location was totally different. They went completely beyond my expectations, even dropping their current workload to fix my issue right away. And they did it the RIGHT WAY, not the lazy attempt that had been done previously. I would highly recommend them for other brides in the Knoxville area.
I am so impressed with the wonderful ladies I met in the alterations department today. I went into my appointment with so much anxiety because I had lost quite a bit of weight after purchasing my wedding dress due to stress and illness, and I couldn't be sure where my weight would be on my wedding day, two months from now -- an alterations nightmare, I'm sure! All four of the ladies were immensely kind and immediately put my mind at ease, giving me suggestions and reassuring me that they could work with me to make sure my dress fit on my wedding day. All the women seemed genuinely determined to make my dress as perfect as possible.I went into the appointment anxious and afraid of being judged or seen as a bother, and I came out of the appointment in tears of relief and gratitude. I truly cannot recommend these wonderful ladies enough -- I don't think I could have found such genuinely kind, conscientious, and hard-working people anywhere else.
This store is run by college girls that have no clue about bridal. I don't know how they sell anything since they are on their cell phones checking messages all day. . The manager is in her late 20's and has no clue how to manage a store or her employees. The store is so dirty.. They will haunt you every day with calls if you don't purchase from them
I went here to get a black blusher that the online website was available in stores. Shipping online is absurd and "regular" shipping takes about 2 weeks, although in their refund policy, you can't cancel an order because they supposedly process them soooo quickly. So anyway, at the store, they take me back to all their accessories and only white is available. I ask if I can place the order IN THE STORE and pay them cash then vs. having to use a credit card online. No, that absolutely can't be done. Okay, so I saw another black headpiece I liked, that'll do, but the one they had looked pretty rough so I ask if there are any more. Nope, what they have back there is all they have. All I get is a sorry. No one offered to see when maybe the other one I liked might come in, which I assume if they are OUT of a product, they would re-order them. Won't be getting anything from them now!
Very disappointed in this place. It was fine when I went with my best friend and she was getting married. The second time I went here was a complete mess, and I was about to start fighting with the person that does alterations. I made an appointment to get my bridesmaid dress altered. When I showed up I brought everything but a bra because I forgot it. When I walked up to the counter they didn't even have my name down for an appointment and told me that I was mistaken. I showed them where I made an appointment and they reluctantly took me back. The head seamstress was SO rude. She was mean the whole time because of something they messed up on. Because I didn't bring a bra they put me in one of theirs, $50 I might add. After they did my alterations, $100 on a $90 dress, they told me I HAD to buy the bra. I told them it didn't fit right, and I wasn't paying $50 for a bra. They got SO angry! They were almost yelling at me telling me that my dress wouldn't fit right without it. Turns out the one in Murfreesboro did the same thing to a friend of mine. They actually slipped the bra in her bag when she wasn't looking though. I felt so bad when I left there. They called me the next day and told me I missed my appointment by the way...
Our first visit to WL&P was a great experience. My daughter found her dream dress on the first visit. They employees are young, cute, cheerful young ladies who make the experience a joy. Devin is a delight to work with. Unfortunately, our great service stopped after the first visit. I paid $90.00 for express shipping, and was given a delivery date from WL&P. Five months and 2 weeks later my daughters dress still had not arrived. WL&P blamed it on the manufacturer. Once her gown was in her belt/sash did not arrive; once again they blamed that on the manufacturer. Out of the blue they were able to have the belt/sash delivered in a week. When it came it was the wrong color. We ordered white and ivory is what we received. When I questioned the manager she tried to convince me it was white. When ivory is on a white dress you can tell the difference, but at this point we had been through so much with them I didn’t want to fight the battle any longer. My daughter was satisfied with her dress in the end. Despite missing bridal portraits due to an incorrect delivery date given to us. I would advise everyone NOT to shop here. It is not worth the hassle.
