I have been a patient at this clinic for 11 months now. The employees of this facility are amazing! Dr. Smelyansky is very compassionate and knowledeable in the way he has treated my back injury. Though the Veteran's insurance was not on the same page as this doctors office ( No surprise there with the VA), there is one person whom worked and fought for me to get my back injections approved, while also working to get me a back brace that I had no chance of getting approved on my own and, at no cost through my insurance. Her name is Loren and I can't thank her enough. Employees like Loren deserve to be recognized for their tireless efforts they exemplify on a daily basis. I would without a doubt recommend this pain clinic to anybody who is seeking relief from chronic pain. Call this clinic, you will be glad you did. Thank you to all the staff at The Omega Pain Clinic, Knoxville.

Women with glasses at front desk act like a kid slams phone down when it’s not making her happy , the billing is a joke nothing perfect about it ! I to pay bills with cash and thay has no change Thay just take advantage of peaple that have to take these drugs all because we are forst to come to a pain clinic
Patients never she an actual dr here. You get switched from one NP to another and they proceed to not listen to you about how you are feeling and prescribe what they want to prescribe. Dr Harris use to run this practice and it was great. Since he left it is a mess. They have lost records forgot to sign my prescriptions and all the NP's who were kind educated and cared have all left and quit. That speaks volumes. I also pay alot of money for rx's they choose that do not work well and refuse to adjust or change even though no change has ever been made or requestes in 3 years. The wait also is terrible. I have been there before for over 4hrs. Its hard to sit and sit when you are in constant pain.
I saw the reviews for this Dr and he appeared to be a caring Dr. So I got on there list and was eventually accepted as a patient. Everything was fine and we started having financial problems. I contacted dhs to see if we could get extra help. This caused my insurance to chg. For 2 months I tried to talk w/them about the change but they were too busy. So the day before my appt. They called to tell me that they don't take that insurance. They gave me 1 week worth of meds and refused to walk me off the meds. It takes longer than a week to get in Anywhere. No one would or could help me. I had to quit 'cold turkey". It could have killed me. It felt as though I was gonna die. This Dr would have been sued had I died. This is extremely dangerous! And the Dr knows that. I could not believe they were so cold and short w/me and refused to work with me at all. I ended up having to chg insurance. And while I was going through this the ppl at Bearden Health Care were wonderful and compassionate about my situation and worked with me and helped me get in ASAP. It still took a little more than 4 weeks to get me in. I have never been treated this way and I was appalled that I was now. I didn't do anything wrong and they literally treated me as though I had. I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO PUT ANY FAITH INTO THIS DR. ! In my opinion NO ONE should ever have to do this. I thought I was protected by my pain management contract and apparently I was not.
Dr. Igor is one of the best, most personable people I know. His integrity as a doctor is of the highest standards. From my first visit to his office, his thoughts were about how to ease my pain to increase the quality of my life. He is a one of a kind doctor. Anybody who goes to him will be blessed. Thank you to Dr. Igor and his staff.
Omega Pain / Dr. Igor are amazing..Very caring Dr. I too have relocated from the Pa. area. Have all documented need for my medication that I have been on for over 5 yrs. Initial visits went very smooth and Dr. Igor. after MRI's to substantiate my injures has been very compassionate to my needs. I would have no problem in referring him. The staff is very friendly and professional! Be prepared to be tested monthly for illicit drug abuse , as within Tn. guidelines Omega Pain is not a pill mill under any circumstances. Thank you Dr. Igor. , without you I would not be living a quality life. Highly Recommend! Scott L.
I would have given a no stars if it were available. I was there for 5 hours and had another current patient say she is there 4 or more hours on average. They had my friend fill out a drug addict questionnaire in my place since I have vision problems with tablets, It confused him and he said there were strange trick questions he did not know how to awnser. I asked the nurse if they had a special non narcotic type of pain relief called Quell, she said yes and then when I mentioned it to the nurse practitioner (didn't even get a MD first time visit) she insulted me and said this did not exist. They asked me 7 times who my family doctor was, I finally got angry and asked NP why they asked so much and why didn't they just look at one of the papers I wrote it down on, she said it was only a sheet for the receptionist to imput info in the computer. I then asked why didnt she just look up the info if it were in the computer and she got snappy with me. I looked on her desk and the sheet that she claimed was only for up front desk was actually on her desk with my doctors name. I told her I was leaving and I was not going to let them examine me. A doctor came in the room and insisted an exam. I didn't reply grabbed my papers and walked out. I hope this helps.
CPS is an incredible facility that provides incredible treatment options to many for people with injuries and pain. My shoulder was injured years ago and Doctor Niendorff was the first to actually solve the problem. Unlike many Doctors he actually spends time with you, talks to you and cares about your healing process. I would recommend Comprehensive Pain Specialists to anyone.
I would not recommend this doctor to anyone! After being on 10 mg of Methadone for 3 yrs for uncontrolled nerve pain in my legs I go in for my 1st visit and he stops it cold turkey! I had began pain management 4 years ago with a very reputable pain management doctor in Atlanta, GA who 3 yrs ago, after failed attempts to control the nerve pain in my legs, made a decision to try this drug. I have now moved back to TN. This doctor says "this is baby dose you won't have any reaction". He was very wrong!! I spent 6 days going thru terrible withdrawal symptoms. I was so sick to the point I called one of my other doctors who told me to go back to this doctor's office so he could see my condition and tell him no one stops Methadone cold turkey. My husband takes me there. This doctor all but mocks me telling me it is just anxiety like his 7 yr old son had when starting school. He said my dose was so small this reaction was impossible (well, I had this dose everyday for 3 solid years!!!). He gives me a prescription for 30 - 5 mg pills and tells me to figure out how to taper myself off them! Not only is the doctor horrible so is the front desk. The two women sat there talking about a 3rd lady who works with them but wasn't there in regards to her bad hygiene and how often they think she showers. Then they talk about their personal lives. They are either oblivious to the fact the whole lobby can hear them or they simply don't care!!!Not the nicest or cleanest office you will go to either! Patient beware!!! Stay away from this unprofessional uneducated "doctor"!
U don't want to go there. They send u to a psychiatrist to see if u are able to take care of your meds. Then when they get the results they won't write any meds case the doctor says u r not capable of taking care of meds. And the doc was old and hard of hearing and ask u questions from 25 years ago or longer, who wouldn't have to think a minute that far back. It isva joke.
