Went there hoping to have a nice evening- children in town and wanted to have a nice experience and have been to this restaurant for lunch a few times and enjoyed it. However, not the case tonight.. was seated and served chips and salsa right away.. without a word being said. No one ever greeted us, nor said "someone will be right with you" we waited 15 minutes without drinks or water. I finally excused myself from the table to go and find a manager..but nowhere to be found.. finally asked someone who looked as if they worked there if we could get some water and a server... after about 20-min a server finally came to our table and took our drink prefer.. however, had a very bad manner and Attitude.. made for an unpleasant evening.. on a positive note, the food is good but doubt will ever go back there because of the service.
DO NOT RENT FROM THEM. My roommates and I looked to rent a unit becoming available in the summer time and signed a lease after a walkthrough in May. It came time for us to move in and the apartment was a total disaster and in horrible condition. They said it would be cleaned and painted and it had not been done when we tried to move in. The apartment was disgusting, there were urine stains on the toilet seats, it smelt like cigarette smoke and dog, uncovered electrical sockets, lights were hardcore flickering, there were no blinds in the apartment like there were during the walk through. There was also water damage in the ceiling and the doors did not lock properly without force. We refused to move in and they gave us two options and said, "Move in and pay rent or don't move in and pay rent.. we aren't letting you out of this lease". We tried to call Mike Newton and he then either blocked our number or disconnected his phone but either way we were unable to set up a meeting to talk to them. We ended up having to take them to court to get out of it. During this time they filed a counter claim suing us for punitive damage of $5,000 along with court costs, all the cleaning and all of the painting they had to do (from the previous tenants). They did not fair well in court because just like their amateur hour business practices they brought in a rookie lawyer to represent them and lost. To sum up our experience with Jacob Lei Property, they are a bad example in a text book that professors warn you about...
Brownlee Construction put a new roof on my home in 2011 after the hail storm. At the time, I marveled at how quickly the work progressed from beginning to end. It seemed as if that new roof was up in no time. In retrospect, I should have asked my salesman a lot more questions, such as what kind of flashing was being used in the valleys of my roof… what kind of method were the roofers using to overlap the shingles to ensure a watertight home. So now, six years later how would I assess the quality of work? Horrible! If you’re looking for a roof that keeps out rain, a business responsive to your needs, professionals that provide competent work and honor their word, Brownlee Construction IS NOT the company for you. However, if you like a smooth sales pitch, a company quick to cash the check, or if you have money to waste and are looking for a business to provide you an endless parade of excuses as to when they will come inspect and repair their shoddy workmanship only to find out they have no intention of doing either, then you should give Brownlee Construction serious consideration. But… BEWARE! If you do decide to hire them, go ahead and get a quote for the installation of inside gutters while you’re at it, because you are going to need them. If you have kids, small pets, or common sense, please read on. This is a property owned by Kirby Davis of Nashville, TN and currently managed by Mara Martin & Deanna Hill district manager. Fire Marshall removed 4-5 gasoline containers from balconies on the property AFTER I requested patio inspections. On another visit ordered firewood to be removed from stairs. This place is LOADED with spiders including brown recluse! I woke up one morning with a huge red bite/rash on my side! See photos I posted! Guy walks around property with a huge stick & pit bull. Property was filled with abandoned cars, boats, trailers when I first moved in. Staff/Contractors park in handicapped areas. Dead trees on the property that you can literally see through. Highly flammable naturally occurring pine needles everywhere, plus landscaping company brought bales in! Google "Pine straw fire hazard".Pool area has no bathroom, so guess where little junior and sally are probably going to urinate rather than spoil the fun and trek back to the apartment? Raised wood deck was put over top of original concrete, and who knows what is under there gathering besides cigarette butts. Unleashed dogs are a chronic problem here. If you have a small animal, be aware, I documented several at large dogs like German Shepherds, Siberian Huskys unleashed on the property.The gym is disgusting beyond belief! The week I moved out, I had a man working on a deck that started literally chasing after me yelling at me while I was walking for exercise while the cleaning crew was telling him NO,NO.. I had to call 911. He told officers that he chased after me because he "thought" I was scoping out his truck, which I had not even gone near! Totally outrageous, and he was working there the next day despite his inappropriate behavior. I had caught him two hours earlier taking photos of me with his phone as I was leaving to meet someone for lunch. Super creepy and he was allowed to come back and work!Much effort is spent on the landscaping and planting flowers in an effort to distract from what I previously mentioned.Sadly, there are worse places to live than this, but if you can afford to pay a little more in rent, I would strongly advise doing so. Obviously a normal business would have fired people for not noticing 4-5 gas containers on patios. Hopefully the recent fire down the road was a wake up call, and they will start inspecting the patios and apartments for prohibited items!P.S They have a lame excuse/explanation for everything or ignore. Example, saw a review complaining about mosquitos, they reply and say they keep the property free of standing water, which is false. Gutters are clogged and overflowing and mosquitos breed there. Also, they have all kinds of crap thrown behind the maintenance storage building! Have photos to prove it!
