East Tennessee Neurology

This neurologists is either obviously dense to the fact that his patients need help or he doesn't control his staff very well as calls are directed to the nurse who then calls back with unsatisfactory information for the paient:

In my case, I have had to deal directly with the insurance company, for which if a state medicaid program, who tells me what the "doctor" needs to do, I then call with the suggestion that the insurance company has made in order to straigten things out. Ths physician's office then calls me and states they do not do P.A.'s (Prior Authorizations) for which I did not ask for; I asked for a form of "Medical Necessity" in order for the P.A. to be obtained from one such as my PCP (Primary care Physician) to get it for me through the insurance company. Clearly I am disregarded as an insignificant patient because of either my status under medicaid or just because they suck or both, probably both. I have many health problems for which it is MY responsibility to keep in line but I keep getting held back by blantent ignorance of the staff of my current neurologist. I do not believe this neurologist to be very successful because he is only as good as his staff (who controls his ability to communicate properly and effectively with his patients. I would never, will never suggest this physcian to any other living being because you have to work much too hard to get what you have to have to function properly especially if, like me, you has Multiple Sclerosis.
