Very disappointed at this location. Specifically went to buy 3-4 uncooked slabs of pork ribs because I am having a BBQ tomorrow. After speaking to the rude, unfriendly, tired butcher, was told that there were none available, after first being told to shop around for 15-20 minutes while meat was being unloaded out back. Spoke with the unfriendly girl at customer service, who spoke with a manager, after I asked if I could use the $6.00 coupon(with purchase of $60.00, or more) for the full cart of groceries (approx. $50.00) if I was willing to drive to another Kroger location (Farragut) to see if i could purchase the ribs there. I was told the coupon could only be used for the total one time purchase of $60.00, but I could buy the cart full of groceries, and come back to use the coupon at a later date. I left the full cart at customer NOT service, and drove to Publix to get my ribs, and other groceries! I realize that everyone has a bad day every now and then, but I left this Kroger location very disappointed after 3 employees were unable to help me.
I can always find lots of savings and since I always buy things in bulk when I find it this place just makes since.
Generally, we do not buy a whole lot of processed foods and stick to the areas on the perimeter of the grocery store. When we do go in the aisles, usually it is to get something in the natural and health foods section. Initially we were drawn to this Kroger because this section was fairly large and comprehensive. I am one of those people who makes a weekly list and menu according to what's on sale to save money and avoid rotting produce so when I go in there and half of the fresh vegetables are out of stock or go bad tomorrow or have been expired for a week or more (i.e. containers of lettuce), I can't do my shopping. This has been my experience with this Kroger on several occasions. More often than not, the buggy returns are overflowing into the parking lot with almost no buggies to be found inside. I've complained several times about the poor stocking and expired goods, and well, nothing has changed.
