        I was on vacation in the area 11/2009 and stopped in a nail salon in a strip mall in Nags Head. I received the quickest and worst manicure/pedicure ever, so I was searching for a better experience for a massage. Aqua Essence Day Spa is the place. Very professional staff, beautiful surroundings and Tony, one of the best massages I've had. I brought a friend along and she had the same experience. We had lunch at the restaurant and it was also wonderful, interesting menu and great service. This is what a day spa is all about. Don't waste you money on the strip malls and tourist traps.

        Best Spa on the Beach

        Absolute best spa on the beach!!!! The views alone will relax you! The spa is tastefully decorated and elegant unlike some other spas where you walk in and the color scheme gives you a headache or you cant help but feel un-relaxed due to small space. The staff is experienced, educated and classy. (Unlike a lot of the spas on the beach - where the staffs often look sloppy, smell like smoke and act like it is a chore for them to be at work. I know this because I am local and have visited most of the spas.) I found the manager, Stacy to be polite and quite helpful. The masseuse, Tony, gave the best therapeutic massage I have ever had. I plan to visit again next week for a mani/pedi combo. Highly recommend to local and visitors.
