East Lake Fish Camp

ACTUALLY ONLY 1 STAR ... star system above would not allow me to adjust

When we got there on Saturday morning 6/15/2013 The girls at the front desk had no clue what they were doing at all.. when we checked into our cabins 22and 23, the first thing we noticed was that the air never got cold my son set it down to 65 and it never cooled off ,,, I had to go back into that room in the morning with the maid , to look for my prescription glasses , and the room was still exceptionally hot , she even agreed with me ! and all the garbage bags that we got from 4 meals at your restaurant were picked up , including the girls peanut shells...and set on the dresser all together to make it easy for them to get to . I noticed that our son and girls had used 2 towels the whole weekend and the rest were still hanging up!

None of the lights in the fan worked , they were all burned out , and the fuses for the other lights, microwave and coffee machine. kept blowing , the maid even told us that you were in the middle of renovation .... boy you could tell!

Our room we left Immaculate never used even one towel or the linens. also the bed next to the bathroom in was totally worn out, it was like sleeping in a wok, and once again the maid acknowledged the renovations, the bed by the door seemed new.

Before we ever put our boats in the water we paid for really unacceptable uncovered boat slips , however we attempted to put one of our boats in the water and it never started ... so we never put it in the water .. so we never used that slip.

Once again the girls at the front couldn't care at all! I have been calling you every day since we left , because I was given a name or Miss Debbie and her phone number, not only is she never available, nor does she ever return phone calls

I want some resolution, and as my son put it :

He is a veteran, his kids cleaned up there mess and for a cabin at 73.00 per night, a slip should be included and maid service actually means maid service .... I watched the girls eat their peanuts right over the garbage can !

And you can bet , I will drive down there, just to confront the 2 maids that agreed with us at time of check out !

If you are looking for a place to go and fish and rent a cabin ....THIS IS NOT IT , YOU WILL GET NICKLE AND DIMED TO DEATH , SERIOUSLY !

The maids denied to their boss (go figure) that they told me that the place was going thru a remodel, and that YES cabin 23 Air conditioner did not work properly !

Also none of the fan lights worked nor were there any pull strings to check .......duh

and some of the fuses in the back room kept blowing , the manager MS.DEBBIE

laid the phone down while she was speaking with the maids .... and called me a (for lack of better term, female dog ?)

Then they clearly straight up , LIED TO HER , My husband was standing right there and was a witness

So I would never recommend this place to anyone ,,,,, Oh by the way if you want to use the pool

it's $20.00 per person and kids ARE NOT ALLOWED !

SO RENTERS AND TOURIST BEWARE !



All I want is my 50.00 back, and I will not persue this any further

Oh by the way , last week Ms Debbie said she would call me back ...

Thah never happened !?

My neighbor and I decided to camp there overnight just for a little getaway. I am an avid camper and I have camped for many years, this place took me by surprise. first of the people that work there (not sure if they were the owners or not) were very helpful and friendly. The place I thought was amazing, the potential was there to have a great time, there was a petting farm horseback riding, fishing, air boat rides, race boat rides and more. if you are an avid fisherman like myself this place is for you, its located on lake Toho which is the largest lake in the area. I did the air boat ride and it was a blast. I am looking forward to going back.

My family ate at the restuarant it was the worst food I ever had.

We went for a long weekend out here this past weekend and had the all u can eat seafood buffet at the East Lake Fish Camp Restaurant and the food was great!!! There were varieties of seafood and different varieties of other food on the buffet and the people were courteous and pleasant. We had an amazing time and are planning a trip back there very soon.

I CAN NOT TELL TOO MANY PEOPLE ABOUT OUR EXPERIANCE CAMPING. I HAVE NEVER BEEN AN OUTDOORS TYPE OF PERSON. AFTER OUR LAST FAMILY VACATION, I CAN NOT WAIT TO CAMP AGAIN. (ALTHOUGH WE ARE FORTUNATE TO HAVE A MOTORCOACH) SOME WOULD NOT CLASSIFY AS CAMPING, REGARDLESS WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND ALL THREE CHILDREN ARE BEGGING TO GO BACK.



ENDLESS CONVERSATIONS REFERANCE THE POOL, AIR BOAT RIDES, FISHING AND OF COURSE THE LIVE ALLIGATORS. THE BABY'S NEW WORDS "BABY ALLIGATOR TOUCH" AWE... AWE... WE DEFINATELY CREATED MORE FAMILY MEMORIES THANKS TO EAST LAKE.
