Better Built Door

The experience was terrible.Our HOA hired this firm to replace garage doors for the whole association. There are 2 options for garage doors - with and without power opener. Generally any garage door needs to have a sliding lock, no matter whether a power opener is used - using the power opener is optional, as it can be removed, disconnected, uninstalled, etc. Nevertheless, they are NOT installing sliding locks on doors that have power openers - this is already wrong, but may be OK if the openers are truly in use.Now, I had openers which were disconnected, and I did not want to use them, which I made clear at the installation time. They just shut me down and said they will connect the openers against my will, and will not install the sliding lock as I insisted. So they did, against my will. Now I have a dispute with HOA where I am asking HOA to hire someone else (definitely not this firm) to install the sliding locks and to disconnect the power openers.Over the course of their work they also continuously insulted me, even though I repeatedly asked them to stop. So, their behavior and actions were unprofessional to extreme. It is possible that they would act and work differently if I was the one who hired them, and not HOA, but they certainly showed their true face.I would strongly advise against hiring these people.

This company has a nice selection of doors to choose from. I called for help when my door was having issues. Decided to replace instead of repair. I am so happy with my new modern style door. I would recommend this company to my friends and family. Jesse the owner was on the job and has quite a sense of humor. Happy in Bellevue.

My garage door spring broke ugh what a pain in the neck. I called around several places based on good feedback from Dexknows.com. I looked at customer reviews and prices. Jessie (a company rep) explained what it would take to fix the door and how much it would cost (it was very competitive). He mentioned he had a guy in my area most afternoons. Once I made my decision to go with BBD I called him back. He put me in touch with the local workman Eric with in minutes. They showed up same day. Installed the new spring, was very courteous and even worked around my messy garage. I would recommend this company to all my friends and relatives!Thanks guys!JJ

I needed to replace the springs on my gargage door opener. I decided to replace the motor too. When I called for service, I was told there was a service person in the area just finishing another job. He was here withinn 30 minutes- what timing. Rob, the service engineer, was fast, knowledgeable and friendly. He explained how everything worked and programmed my van's internal opener. I would definitely recommend Better Built to my friends. Pricing good as well.
