I was at Tranquility Nail and Spa. My very first time for a regular pedicure, nail fill and eyebrow wax. The tech that had her pens equipment are quite nasty. I asked the tech how much is my total. She said my total was $68.00. I went to pay and she took my credit card and said my amount was $112.00. I was in shocked to say the least. I questioned her and she told me that I had a gel pedicure and fill, keep in mind, I didn’t had a full set. This is definitely a lesson learned to ask for price before I get service.
I’m from SC sand came and had a full gel nail set done with gel polish. Despite that I asked for acrylics the tech said gel was better. I accepted the up charge. I am now standing here with 3 out of 10 nails still on. When I called the salon they told me they don’t do refunds but may be able to fix them depending on how my nails look but if it wasn’t their fault they wouldn’t fix them. So least to say I don’t have time to get them done again because of the holiday and I leave Tuesday morning yet they want me to sit there for another 2 hours for a crappy manicure. What a waste of $75
I went for ANC, the placed seemed nice and professional at first until a male with large glasses there started the process of doing my nails.I had to ask for my cuticles (which were in bad shape) to be groomed. He was using the electric buffer to push my cuticles down amd was making them look even worse. When shaping my nails (which I like square with a round edge), he made all of the ends of my nails slanted...literally slanted like a slope, my nails were cut very unevenly in length as well (some long and some short). When I politely asked the guy to reshape ALL ten fingers because my nails were all oddly shaped at the edges, slanted and uneven, he started to man handle my hands and became VERY rude and rough with me! Roughly throwing my hands aside after he was done with each one. After dipping my fingers in the ANC powder, in order to knock off excess powder, he would flick me very hard directly on my knuckles of each finger he was working on as if to intentionally hurt me. If you ask nicely for tweaks to be done to your nails so that they look how you want them to look in order to be happy with them, which you are paying for, you should not receive the type of attitude and treatment I did at this place! I will NEVER go back to this place, not even to give another person a chance.
Amelia washed, cut and blow dried my hair. This was the first time I went to this beauty shop. When Amelia washed my Hair, it was the best hair washing I ever had. She was very friendly and polite. The haircut was great. I have already made my appointment for my next haircut.
Was a regular coustomer for over a year ! Went in on a Saturday to get my nails done gel nails and polish that usually last till I go again this time they started chipping and looked horrible. So I went back maybe 6 days later and they wouldn't redo for free I paid $50 for a service that lasts at least 3 weeks usually. Well I won't be back in sure someone else wants my business ! Don't shit on your coustomer!
DO NOT GET YOUR NAILS DONE AT PERFECT 10. Got there yesterday at 3pm and wasn't done with my nails until 5:46pm exactly. (Over an hour of waiting patiently) I went to work today, one nail ripped off, made me bleed and another ripped with no bleeding. Not even 24hrs later I went back and they refuse to give me any of my money back, and only offered me a gift card for 15$ even though I paid $40 and tipped generously. I asked to be reimbursed and they started laughed in another language. The owner said that it was "my fault" so he would not give me any of my payment back or an apology. Not even less than 24hrs later!!!!! Poor customer service, VERY unprofessional, and I will NEVER go back there again.
I went in fully ready to give them my service, on a busy saturday they only had two techs that could put on full sets. I decided to give them a chance and stay, After waiting just about an hour, I got my turn, I asked for a certain shape of the nails, which i was told he could do. He had no idea what he was doing, didn't shape the nails properly the paint wasn't consistent on all the nails and to top it off cut up my fingers. I will NEVER go back again.
I am 70 years old and go for pedicures since it's very difficult to bend myself into positions to reach my toes (after a hip and knee replacement). There's nothing wrong with 'vanity' but it's not the reason I go for pedicures. I go to have my feel and legs feel better and to be treated with a modicum of respect (as an 'elder') This does NOT happen at Tranquility . I did find the atmosphere pleasant and much cleaner than other places I've been to in Kingston, but my 'technician' - ( a young woman) was rude; insolsent; checking her 'device' and speaking in another language during my entire 'pedicure'. My polish rubbed off from one nail in one day (she put on many layers very quickly). and since I was passing through again a week later I went in to ask if they could fix it. I got the same person who again, has NO PEOPLE SKILLS! This is a service industry, and a SPA, and it's important to treat people with respect. This DID NOT HAPPEN! I'm never returning.
I HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE IN THIS SALON! THE OWNER, BLATANTLY DISRESPECTED ME, WITH HIS ATTITUDE, and Called ME A LOWLIFE!HE BECAME ANGRY WITH ME, BECAUSE I ASKED HIM TO PLEASE POLISH MY ENTIRE NAIL! HE THEN COMMENCED TO BE DISRESPECTFUL. TOLD ME TO NOT COME BACK TO THE SALON! I WILL NEVER ALLOW THAT MAN TO EVER DO MY NAILS AGAIN!
Google reviewsEthel KnoxEthel Knoxin the last weekDon't patronize this establishment, I had an appointment to get a pedicure, I'm what I thought a regular customer, I only go here to get my pedicures..... well when I arrived I watched them escort two people to the pedicure chair mind you after they asked me what I wanted, after I answered, "pedicure, I have a 1:30 appointment". He say pick your color, I continue to stand although I didn't see an available station. There is a lot of chatter amongst them. Then finally someone comes over to me and say, I know you have an appointment but they been waiting.......you wait, okay? I'm going to stop writing the script, cause if I write what I was thinking as I was walking out the door, God would not be pleased. But the nerve, I may be one person but they will not get my hard earned money! I'm done.... thanks for listening
