Amelia washed, cut and blow dried my hair. This was the first time I went to this beauty shop. When Amelia washed my Hair, it was the best hair washing I ever had. She was very friendly and polite. The haircut was great. I have already made my appointment for my next haircut.
I absolutely love this place. They are the ONLY ones I'll let touch my hair.Love Jenna and Chelsea
I absolutely LOVE Le Shag! So much has moved to the kingston area and salons are certainly not lacking! We recently decided to take the plunge and move upstate full time. After searching through MANY salons, i finally found my fit. I absolutely love Le Shag and all of the stylist in it. It gave me so much more confidence to take the step to full time residency in this little city. Jennifer travels back and forth to NYC (seems regular) and is on the pulse of trends, helping to keep the edginess to the salon. I have yet to see anything else like it upstate. I had my hair done by Jennifer the first time I visited- it was absolutely AMAZING. Because of Jennifers NYC schedule my style has been maintained by her well trained (by Jennifer) colleagues, Kara and Bree, who have done a fantastic job at keeping it up! There are several salons uptown but this is the only one for me, it made my move slightly easier and I hope it does the same for you!!!
I was looking for someone who could razor cut my crazy hair looking for a good looking cut. Not only did I find someone who know what they where doing with a razor but Chelsea is great with color too. If you need something go see Chelsea she is very good at what she does and has the personality to go with it.
Please excuse the negative comments written below. They were written several years ago now and I'm shocked they are still there. They were submitted by an angry former employee and his, then, girlfriend. He and I are again friends, she is probably out there antagonizing some other business with her negativity. My salon, in addition to several salons in Kingston, became a late alcohol induced target that have been a bruise on my business now for years. It is a type of bullying that I wish did not exist but does. When using online reviews as a tool to decide whether or not you should support a local business or restaurant, please consider that ANYONE can write a review on an establishment whether or not they've been there or whether they just have a personal vendetta or even just have had a bad day. And when writing a negative review please at least give the business the opportunity to make it right with you. A small business is someone's lively hood. Something they have put years of blood, sweat, tears, and every ounce of their income into for years and probably will continue to do so for many to come. It's very difficult to own a small business, especially in NY state. We should all be a little more considerate of each other and how our negative words reflect on to society. Most smaller business's do not strive to give you bad service and would most likely prefer to try and make it right. Try talking with them first. Imagine if everyday you went to work your boss did an employee review? Or, just in general, if someone could write a random review about their interaction with you on any given day or moment? How would that make you feel? How creative would you continue to feel? We are all human. We have good days and we have bad. At Le Shag we keep an open door policy for you to return and discuss with is what it is that you are not happy with and we will do everything in our power to make you, as the client and patron who has decided to invest your time and money into our establishment, happy. We want you to be happy- please try to do the same for us.
I have been having my hair cut and colored by Kelly at Le Shag for quite a while and I love her and the job she does on my hair. Le Shag is charming... Everyone is warm, friendly, and professional! Kelly does a super job...she is personable and professional. She listens to what you want, makes great suggestions, and delivers every time!
"Ya gotta go to Trends!"Meander your way downtown to Trends. You won't regret it!The stylists are fantastic, friendly and right on TREND, pun intended!I found Trends nearly 7 years ago and won't go anywhere else!I have trusted my locks to Denise and Adrienne over the years and have never been disappointed. They are fantastic colorists and have greatly improved the condition of my hair since entrusting them with the task and of course, their great Bumble and Bumble products. They have surely taken my anxiety down about hairspray! They work magic with my curly hair and always have it looking fantastic! And up-dos, are no problem for them. I attend many galas and receptions where my hair needs to be perfect, I never worry when I am leaving Trends that I look fabulous! The only downside is that I have to wait 6 weeks for my next visit!!!!!
Very affordable and great staff members. Everybody knows what they are doing no matter what type of look you want
