Excellence in Montessori education. Read 24 Google reviews. Here are a few: •Do not hesitate. If you want a Montessori education for your kids, this is the school. We were there for 4 years and loved every minute of it. From the administration, to the teachers to the education, it was a wonderful experience. •Both of my kids have been attending Coconut Grove Montessori since they were toddlers. There is no place I would rather them be. The classrooms are beautiful & everything is very clean. The Montessori education they have received, and will continue to receive astonishes me. My kindergartener is already doing long division, and reading without issue. Their school environment has created independence in both of them, and they work hard to try to figure things out on their own. Every teacher & the directors truly care about all the children, and it shines through my children's love for them all. I highly recommend CGMS for any parent looking for a loving and nurturing environment in which their children can learn to their fullest potential. •Coconut Grove Montessori is an outstanding school. The skills and friendships she gained there assisted her in elementary school and at Carrollton where she now attends. I can enthusiastically recommend Coconut Grove Montessori. •My oldest son was part of the first graduating class! I cannot express the gratitude I have for the teachers and staff at CGMS. Although my son was a bit shy, he flourished there!!! Ten years later, my twins followed in his footsteps! We wouldn't have it any other way. CGMS is the best decision we ever made. The teachers prepared our children for their futures. Our kids were accepted into every single school we applied to and we attribute that to the exceptional curriculum and teachers at CGMS. Most importantly all the teachers and staff are so nurturing and caring!! They gave our kids the best education and the foundation for future success!! We LOVE CGMS!!!!

My child has attended La Scuola since it opened 3 years ago. The care that she has received by loving, dedicated teachers is unparalleled. When you choose a school for your child, the teachers are the most important factor because they will be the ones who are shaping your child. Perhaps the previous review that stated that all the kids do is "draw all day" should become a little more educated in early childhood development or perhaps take some time to find out what it is the children really do all day. If you are looking for a school that the kids do worksheets all day, this is not the school for you. The children are actively engaged and involved in studying things that are of interest to each class. The curriculum is driven by the interests of the children. In my child's 3 years of attendance, I have never once heard any teacher raise their voice at the children or witness teacher:child ratios that were large or unsafe. When I drop my child off in the morning, I know that she will be well cared for by a loving staff of qualified teachers. What really drew me to this school was that it was like no place else that I visited. As a parent you need to do your research and understand the needs of young children so that you can make an educated and informed decision that will enhance your child's overall development.

I love La Scuola! My daughter is so happy there and learning amazing things for a 20 month old! She counts in English and Spanish!! Her vocabulary also increased tremendously after we enrolled her. Her class does cooking experiences every Friday. Can you imagine, 1 year olds cooking??? It is amazing to see such small children doing such BIG things! Her teachers are incredible and we could not be any happier with the progress she has shown both academically and socially. I love that they give her a lot of one on one time and that her unique interests are implemented within the projects they do in class. I receive an email daily from her teacher which is such a blessing because I feel like I was right there with her the entire day. The school has a thriving academic program as well as an incredible environmental program. You have to go see it for yourself! My daughter loves eating tomatoes from their vegetable and fruit garden and has already been exposed to many environmental concepts that we truly value. I am glad she is growing up in such a wonderful place!
I absolutely LOVE this private school. My children are now going into 1st grade and Kindergarten and have been with the school since age 2. The Christian values and curriculum that are taught to the children are wonderful and have exceeded my expectations, as an example, my 1st grader's SATs in Kindergarten stated that she's at a 2nd grade level!!! The children literally come out of Kindergarten fully reading and writting cursive! I'm not sure what those that posted reviews about money being an issue are talking about, when comparing this school and it's history to other schools in the surrounding area, the school is very reasonably priced and you kow you are getting the BEST education for your child/children! "It's better to build a child, than repair a man." and I will live by that with keeping my children at Rainbow!
I was an alumni of Ballet Concerto over 20 years ago and now my daughter is currently a student. They have a traditional ballet curriculum where they learned from the Nacional Ballet of Cuba and have taught the some of the best ballet dancers & dance educators of Miami. I"ve been a dance teacher for the last 20 years and have taught at many studios in the state and there is no comparison to the education students receive at Ballet Concerto. They are implementing new styles of dance for the 2010-2011 season including Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Ballroom. I feel that adding the versatility along with their strong ballet training will produce some amazing talent. I highly recommend this studio to parents who want a quality dance education for their child. Maria
This is a great school. The kids are well behaved and well cared for. I have two sons that have attended. The teachers our wonderful. They are very caring and expereinced. the staff is wonderful and there is a strong sense of unity and professionalism. The kids love it they are happy and they learn alot. They have a holistic style in which they not only promote strong educational values but also promote the general well being of the child and a strong spiritual foundation in Christ. The kids are able to experience a range of activities ranging from cooking class to being able to tour a black hawk helicpoter. As a parent that works I feel so at ease knowing that they are in a secure nurturing enviroment- a home away from home.
I find many of the reviews below unfair. My daughter has been attending since she was 1 (now 3) and we're very happy. She is an only child and our miracle baby, so we were verrry picky about who we would trust with her care. I'll admit, their administration may not be optimal, but they do a great job with the children (hence the 5 stars). They're constantly improving the classrooms and play areas, and their curricula unlike any other comparable school out there. To top it off, parents receive a "daily experience" report which include a narrative of what's happened during day along with pictures, and children's quotes. Definitely worth the tuition in my book.
My son is a senior here. This school is exceptional. Parents, you owe it to your children to start early to prepare them with private insturctors for music, drama, dance auditions, photography or art portfolios, or any audition they can do to get into this high school. It was ranked between no. 13 and 15 by Newsweek Magazine among top public high schools in the entire United States. PHENOMENAL. If your child is fortunate enough to get accepted here, be an involved parent and come to parent meetings - it is worth it!!!!
It is a great school. Once you understand the montessori concept and natural way that kids learn, tradiional public school are no longer an option. At CRMA the teachers are very involvled, the staff, is great, and parent participation is highly encouraged. The true Montessori concept is imbraced. The kids learned well beyond what you think is capable for their age. It is a holistic approach to learning. Everything is hands on and the kids love to learn. There is always fun family events going on. I love it!!
