Killeen Memorial is a headstone shop next to (but not affiliated with) Dignity Memorial Funeral Home -Crawford & Bowers on Ft. Hood St. The new owner of this headstone company, Juan Gonzales, charged me up front over $7,000 for a custom headstone for my husband. After several months, he kept telling me the headstone still had not arrived. I called the granite company in Waco that he had mentioned he got the headstone through to be told the headstone had been sitting there for months waiting for him to give them further instructions. He had not been returning calls and emails from them. Juan stated at the the time of purchase of the headstone, that he would himself flash on any additional additional wording I requested which never happened. Upon finally getting the headstone to the gravesite, I noticed he had called in the wrong date of death which cannot be fixed. He refused to take responsibility for. Because he was not communicating with the monument place in Waco, they requested I sign for some changes in wording I wanted after the stone arrived. I signed the proof stating on the form that I was only approving my wording changes at that time, not anything else since I did not know exactly what else Juan may have asked them to do on it. When Juan finally placed the headstone, he stated he was not able to purchase the picture plates that I paid for about a year prior, because he was low on money. Frustrated, I called the prior owner of the shop who said he would talk to him. Suddenly, my picture plates were there. It's been 3 years since my husband was laid to rest and Juan's work still is not finished. The few times he has responded, it is always going to be done later. At this time, he is not returning my texts or calls. I've since heard of this happening to others that used his services. Find a reputable, respectful and honest headstone store to purchase a headstone for your loved one. In a time of mourning, this is not a business to go to. Will never use his services again.

DO NOT GIVE THEM A DEPOSIT!!! They improperly measured our countertops, then cut the granite from this small handful of measurements. Then, when they did not fit, they had the nerve to blame US for it, stating that “your walls are crooked, it is not our fault.” Clearly, the walls did not chan…
