I recently purchased my first and brand new truck this past weekend. I researched for months and narrowed my choices between the F-150 and Tundra. In my quest towards finding the most committed salesperson (via email), I came upon Jon Locke of Automax Ford. This salesperson, like many others, started off very nicely with the way that he presented himself and how he wanted to earn my business. Having dealt with endless salespersons, from various manufacturers and locations, a great amount of time went by before communicating with Mr. Locke. This lapse in time also allowed me to perform further research that further helped me make my decisions. In due time, another opportunity arose to communicate with Mr. Locke and I presented him with challenging information as to why the 2017 ranked higher, in many categories, than the F-150. Instead of setting aside the time to patiently educate me, Mr. Locke proceeded to act like a child with his "tick-for-tack" and "back-and-forth" (on email) as if I were some misinformed moron. Needless to say that Mr. Locke's lack of professionalism helped me decide not to use him as a sales associate or purchase from Automax Ford of Killeen. It gets better. After a couple of weeks since this silly episode transpired, I decided to call the sales manager to share my experience and express my discontent with his sales associate. I called very early this morning and left a message after being informed that he had not come to work. I called again three hours later and was, again, informed that he was with a client and unavailable. It has been 90 minutes since I last called and no return call. I will not call a third time. The sales manager's lack of interest and concern in listening to my experience speaks of how unimportant consumers are to him and his establishment. I can only assume that they have lost their focus on quality customer service due to the quantity of vehicles soldiers purchase at their location on a monthly basis.
