On 12/9/2014 We booked a freight carrier to move 10 pallets of goods from the Air Sea America warehouse in Kent WA. The shipment was booked through a partner carrier via YRC Freight. The freight bill of lading had specific instructions:Time-Critical DEG Fastest. A partner carrier will pick-up. You will be notified who the outside agent will be to pick-up the shipment.Questions? Call 800-257-4178 opt 3. Do not give this freight to a YRC Freight driver.Despite these very specific instructions our goods were loaded onto a random YRC truck by the Air Sea America staff. Not only was this loaded on the wrong truck where we ended up paying a higher rate, but the shipment was also supposed to be moved time critical. On top of that when the freight carrier that we actually booked arrived to pick up the shipment, there was nothing to pick up. They in turn charged us a cancellation fee of $350. This was clearly negligence on the part of Air Sea America. When I contacted someone named Steve 253-395-9551 at Air Sea America he refused to take responsibility for their error and refused to pay the $350 invoice that we incurred as a result of their blatant failure to follow written directions. Terrible service and terrible customer service after the fact.I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be tunring them over to collections.
