Elite Door & Millwork Corp

As a project manager for a custom home builder I get the opportunity to find, hire and work with all kinds of Sub-contractors and suppliers. My goal is to search the market to find the best people to work with because it makes the process of building a home a lot easier. When I am looking at hiring a new sub I'm interested in four things: the quality of the product, level of customer service, the dollar estimate, and how many mistakes are made, and more importantly how the company handles their mistakes. Elite Door and Millwork and my salesman Kris, are one of my favorite companies that I get to work with. We have used them on upwards of six projects now and don't plan using anyone else. Looking at my four criteria. First, the quality of the products are great, since they are a supplier they are distributing products made by others, but where they are different from other companies is in the second criterion in service. Kris will come out and measure the whole house and go over all of the custom elements for the home. He will routinely call to make sure everything is going according to plan and see if we need them to bring out any other items. One of the great things about Kris is he will actually get excited about what you're building. He even offered to take some pictures for our website when we're done. Thirdly is price, going with Elite Door and Millwork saves a lot of money especially compared to piecing together an entire order by yourself. Lastly, dealing with mistakes. It would be naive to think that a company or anyone for that matter won't make mistakes, but you find a lot out about them based on how they handle those situations. When mistakes have occurred Kris is apologetic, not defensive. He offers solutions and doesn't try to shift the blame or make me feel like it is my fault. On the rare occasion that I make a mistake (not that rare), Kris is still willing to help out and help us get exactly what we need as quickly as possible. I would not hesitate to recommend Kris and Elite Door and Millwork to anyone building a new home or remodeling their existing home!!
