Al is a hell of nice person.If you got something wrong with your car or truck this is the Man to see.If he cant fix it then it cant be fix. This is the only place i will take my car.He covers it all.

Hands down the best place to go for absolutely every mechanical or collision need. friendly, fair, and knowledgeable.

My husband and I got a flat tire on the highway late on a Sunday night. After reading the reviews posted of Hoffmans, we decided to try them out. We called Monday morning and they were really great. They were super nice, efficient and really did eveything they could to get us back on the road as soon as possible. They even gave us a ride to go get some lunch while we waited. We ended up just replacing all 4 tires. And I can honestly say I'm kinda bummed we don't live closer because I would definitely continue to bring my car back to them for anything that may come up. But so far the tires are great. My car is very happy.

Al started working on my vehicles after I got taken for $ 4,000 by another well known repair shop. He was really upset by it as he doesn't like to see people taken advantage of. I live in Racine, WI and have taken my vehicles to Al ever since, about 10 years. I continued to take my vehicles to Al at Hoffman's Auto & Tire when he opened and have gotten the same wonderful Al working on my vehicles. He does good honest work for a fair price. He is not like most auto places that recommend things that you really don't need just to make money. I totally trust Al and Hoffman's Auto & Tire and highly recommend them. They picked up my husband's car at work so my husband didn't have to leave and then later picked him up from work to bring him to Hoffman's Auto & Tire to get the car. Luckily it was something small. I think most places would of tried to say it was something more to get $$ but Al really does think of people first. He is people orientated and loves working on cars. His knowledge of cars is impressive as well. He usually can tell me what is wrong before he even looks at it. I am glad I have a good guy on my side for a change. Thanks Al.

Just had the engine replaced in my Toyota at Hoffmans. They were excellent. Service was great and the pricing to do such a large job was reasonable. I am very pleased with how my vehicle runs and with the friendly/ professional service I received. I would recommend them for any service needs you may have. Thanks Al

I originally had problems with a random cylinder misfire and the manager Al was very helpful in diagnosing the problem and giving suggestions for fixing it. He even allowed me to watch the testing of cylinder compression and a few other diagnostic tests. After attempting to fix the problem on my own, I ended up getting a new engine installed altogether. Al was able to get me a good price on a low-mileage engine which was installed in a short amount of time. Also, he provided a free loaner vehicle for me while my car was in the shop. Him and his team are very knowledgeable about cars and I would recommend his services to everyone I know. In addition, the place is very clean and if you are waiting in the lobby while getting something done on your car, there is complimentary coffee and you can watch cable TV. Al goes to great lengths to make everything comfortable and he gave me alot of information about exactly what he was doing to my car, along with a detailed quote for the cost of servicing my car.

My girlfriend and I were en route to her folks in the heart of Wisconsin from Chicago. We planned on stopping at the Brat Stop for lunch, but her car starting having a coughing fit with the Check Engine light on just as we were getting close to 75th. We pulled off to the rest area to reassess the situation and found Hoffman Auto on yelp close by. Not only did these extremely nice people accept our walk-in emergency at mid day, but they had a shuttle van to drop us off at the Brat Stop while they took care of our car. The problem was diagnosed, a new Cam Sensor was ordered, delivered, installed, and we were back on the road in four hours. At the time we went there, Hoffman had only been open a year. The place was clean, the people were friendly and approachable, and the cost was affordable. We could not have had a better experience considering our circumstances. Thanks Hoffman.

I tried this place on a whim, because my cousin brought in fliers, which had $5 off of a $25 oil change for their grand opening. Found the place to be very clean, with very nice owner. Al is the owner and he is about as personable as they come. I had the oil change, they fixed a loose valve stem on my tire, and have since been back for a brake inspection, and I am even using him for some auto body work. On top of being great place to bring your car to be serviced, they are also very affordable. No out of place suggestions by the staff trying to get into your wallet. They simply want to fix your car and get you on the road. They also have killer gourmet coffee and a popcorn machine in the waiting area, to help kill the time. I would suggest this newly established business to ALL of my friends and family (which I already have done).

My husband and I were on our way to northern WI when the alternator started to die on our Honda civic. We managed to exit the highway and found Hoffman's with high reviews on Yelp so gave them a call and asked for an estimate. They called a local tow truck for us AND ordered the new alternator so that it was waiting for us when we got there. We decided to go with them rather than waiting for AAA tow truck (which probably would have taken hours, even if it was free) and it was a good call. They did some diagnostics to make sure there wasn't some other issue, and then they fixed it and we were on our way to vacation! Al came and talked to us a few times so we knew what they were doing/how it was progressing. The service was speedy and reasonably priced. Al (and the other people we talked to at the garage) were friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

This review is long overdue. It was the summer before last when we were headed into central Wisconsin for a weekend with family when we exited I-94 to visit Mars Cheese Castle for some soft cheese, summer sausage, and a couple of brews. Just as we pulled up to our first light, there was a large clunking sound which I associated with losing a wheel. Luckily, that wasn't the case and the bartender at Mars directed us to Hoffman's for assistance. Turns out that the drive-shaft on my 2006 VW Touareg had come lose from it's cowling and was banging against the undercarriage. Clearly it wasn't drivable for long and needed immediate attention, which could cost a pretty penny. Luckily we had Al at Hoffman's take a look at it -- he had been a long-time valued mechanic at another local auto shop and had just purchased Hoffman's a year or two before. Good news was that he found a used replacement part that would limit our costs. Bad news, it was 4 o'clock in the afternoon and the repair could not be done until Monday -- and we were due north of Madison that evening. Without skipping a beat, Al offered us a courtesy van for the weekend free-of-charge so that we could preserve our weekend away and directed us to simply bring the loaner back on Monday to pick up our car. Al not only saved our weekend get-away, but was courteous, professional, and proactively concerned about containing our costs. It all worked out great Thanks Al! We owe you!

I could not speak more highly of this auto shop. Our van broke down on our way from Milwaukee to Chicago on the night before Christmas Eve when nearly everything was already closed, and Hoffman's stayed open for us late and even drove us to a hotel when realizing we'd have to wait until the morning for a part. Then they picked us up first thing in the morning! The van has never sounded better--I think they not only fixed the problem, but possibly other problems too. The price was also great. Everyone should go here.

Al Charged me extra to install tires on my 2016 Mustang GT. They told me they were charging extra because they had to take care they didn't damage the rims. I got home and there is a pry mark and scrapes from a tool and a scratch going around half the rim. Now I have to pay to have my rims sandblasted and repowder coated black.

Brought my truck there for an alignment and they blew my rear differential up and told me I had no proof. See my yelp review for a complete review
