I brought my shotgun here to be serviced and was quoted 4-6 weeks for repair. 6 weeks later I called and was told that it was not ready. 7 weeks later I called and was told it would be ready the next week. I came back 9 weeks later to find out that not only had I been lied to about it being ready but also that there had been no work done on my gun. Pretty much the worst experience in a gun shop ever. AVOID THIS PLACE!

By a wide margin the best and most helpful shop in town. Amazing selection and quality; coupled with friendly and knowledgeable staff members makes The Gun Shop a much more relaxed and informed FFL, than lets say corporate mountain if you catch my drift. Also the prices cant be beat by a long shot. Thanks guys Robbie
to those who come across Jeff Norton or his company stay away he has stolen my money. I had bought a rifle for my birthday payed in full 2 and a half years ago. And still nothing he won't respond now that i had caught him in a LIE about shipping my product and now it looks like i will have to use small claims court. Do not give this man a minute of your time.I have no respect of those who rip off veterans. this is a fraud company say far far away.
Great prices and great service.
I see that Norton Firearms responds to comments on this YP site. I am having issues getting this business to respond to my numerous emails. I wonder if this is strictly an avoidance issue, or if they are SO busy that they can not respond to many emails sent over many months. Perhaps they will answer me here if I post my questions/concerns publicly.
I had the pleasure of having an AR built by Jeff and his team. After a few communication "hick-ups" he got the ball rolling. The finished product was excellent in every way! I was present at the build, and every care was provided for a perfect fit. From trigger pull too mounting my scope for perfect sight picture. Count on Norton firearms too do the job beyond your expectations. Just don't be in a hurry! Any chef will tell you, " great cooking takes time". If you want your rifle tomorrow, call Ganders. If you want a " want a work of art, Call Jeff Norton".
The service claims are simply overrated. Their claim of one-two week turnaround seems to be based on a very basic repair--such as a boresighting. I took the trigger assembly, barrel and ancillary pieces in for reblueing twelve weeks ago, while I refinished the stock on an Enfield 303. After about eight weeks, I learned that the parts had been sent out (of state) and the company doing the rebluing was 'backed up' with orders, but should have the parts back in about a week. I was told the same thing a week later, and a week later... and so on. In many cases, recently, (after the phones had their little hiccup) I haven't received a return phone call. The work may be very good-- i'm still waiting on that) but the customer service is sadly lacking. Giving Jeff and Sandy the benefit of the doubt, they may be simply experiencing growing pains. BUT: it would be better to tell people up front that an operation may take more than one or two weeks-- especially if there is another company involved. After that communicate with the customers!
