Great Store & Best Service Around

I own 3 motorcycles, 1-HD, 1 Honda and a Yamaha Quad. I have all 3 of my bikes serviced and repaired at Full Throttle and have found their service to be outstanding in all areas. I recently took my 06 HD FLST to the dealer (Rattlesnake Mtn) for some head work. I was quoted $115.00 an hour labor rate and a repair estimate of over $1,000. My bike wouldn't be finished for 6 weeks. I don't even know why I bothered taking it there, it was the same BS as Schumate all over again.

Full Throttle got the work done promptly and when promised. I brought it back for the 500 mile recheck and it is running better than when it was new.

The service on my Honda and quad have been just as exceptional as the HD service. The mechanics believe in talking to the customers and are willing to take the time to expain things to me.

Great jobs guys, I will be back!!!!!!



Good store - Horrible Service

Had the top end rebuilt - including cam & oil pump upgrade on my HD, and the bike ran way worse than it did before the rebuild. Took it back several times, and was told that this is just the way Harley's run. After a few hundred miles, the engine totally ate itself - complete & very expensive loss; discovered during oil change - large chuncks of metal in the oil. Too many mechanical mistakes to list. I would not recommend letting this shop touch your bike.

To make it worse, the owners wouldn't stand behind their shop's work.

Thank you for the opportunity to respond to this customer's comments about the service received from Full Throttle Motorcycle Accessories. I am one of the owners of the shop and I spoke to this customer about his concerns. Here is a summary of what happened: 1) The customer brought us his HD for replacement of cams and oil pump. Our technician detected a subsequent leak which necessitated a top end rebuild. 2) Upon completion of the work, the customer was instructed to return the bike within 500 miles for an oil change and re-check (including test drive) of the completed work This is customarily and routinely done to ensure consistency in engine performance. There is no charge for this engine check-up as it is considered normal follow-up for this type of work. 3) The customer returned to Full Throttle shortly after the work was completed and told our HD certified technician that the bike was making what he felt was excessive noise. The service technician informed the customer that the described noise appeared to be normal and that the customer needed to put more miles on the engine before it was re-checked, unless the noise became worse. The technician again advised him to return the bike within 500 miles so that normal engine follow-up could be completed. 4) The customer failed to return the bike to Full Throttle as instructed, but instead took it to a home-garage-based mechanic who tore apart Full Throttle's work, invalidating any warranty the customer had in the parts and service completed by Full Throttle. The home-garage-based mechanic told the customer that Full Throttle had re-used the old gaskets. When the customer relayed this to me, I told him that this was not true. Full Throttle would never re-use gaskets in a customer's bike and that the top-end kit purchased for this work INCLUDES new gaskets. I told him again that he needed to bring the bike back to us and he informed me that he could not do so as the home-garage based mechanic had the bike "torn apart." 5) When it was apparent that the other mechanic had possibly destroyed Full Throttle's work, I informed the customer that by taking his bike to an unauthorized mechanic and allowing it to be "torn apart", he had invalidated any warranty to the work that Full Throttle had completed. Despite our best efforts to inform this customer of the proper way to handle the warranty work, he invalidated that work by taking his bike to another mechanic. Full Throttle fully stands by all of its work, provided the customer brings the bike back to our technicians to complete any follow-up or additional work. Since this customer owns a Harley Davidson, he's most likely aware that Harley Davidson also insists that its warranty work be done by its dealer centers. Should a Harley Davidson customer take the bike to another non-HD dealer or home-garage based mechanic, that invalidates the customer's HD warranty. Full Throttle strives to satisfy all customers with top notch service at reasonable prices. I'm truly sorry that I could not compensate this customer for the unauthorized work performed by the home-garage-based mechanic. Chuck Riley
