I would give NEGATIVE 5 STARS to this place if i can. I will NEVER EVER go back there.



I've never been so upset at a dentist office in my entire life. First of all, nobody ever picked up the phone when you call. Expect to play phone tag if you're trying to get insurance information or appointment. I called the very first time to make sure they took my insurance and of course i had to leave a message. I left a message asking them if they took my insurance and left both my home and cell #s. They called home the next day and nobody was home. They left a message telling me to call back and make sure i have a referral before making an appointment. NO info on the insurance. I called them the second time, got the answering machine and left a message AGAIN. They finally called me back within 30 minutes. Spoke with Riley about the insurance, and he didn't know if they took DeCare or not even though it was listed on DeCare website that they are in their network. He promised to call me back and of course he did not. I called them back the next day, got a lady and Riley was out, and insisted on her finding out the info on the insurance while i'm waiting on the phone. She asked for all my insurance info which has been faxed to them by my primary care dentist a week ago. I finally got the info and made an appointment then.



The disappointment never ends. They never told me their office has moved to Busbee Pkwy. I got to their old office 10 minutes before my appt time at Barret Park Dr. which is still listed here as their address at this time, and found out nobody was there. I tried to call them and of course NOBODY PICKED UP THE PHONE!!!! So I called my primary dentist to get their address and finally found the office. I WAITED FOR 1 HOUR AND 15 MINUTES and come to find out they have just realized that they have lost all my paperwork that was faxed by my primary dentist. I would think it's a daily routine to prep all the necessary paperwork for all the patience for the day. So I have to wait for all the paperwork to be re-faxed before they can start my consultation which by the way only lasted for 10 minutes!



Dr. Whitner did not introduced himself. I thought he was one of the dental assistant when he took the x-ray. Not until he started asking me questions that i realized he was the doctor. He spoke very softly and never took his mask of his face. I had a hard time understanding what he was saying. He referred me to a dental surgeon. So I was asked if i wanted to wait for the referral or had them mail it to me. It would only take 30 minutes, they said. So I told them I would go do some groceries shopping and come back in an hour to pick it up and they said it would be in the front office waiting for me. And guess what, it wasn't ready when i came back. I waited for more than 5 minutes and decided to leave the office without the referral because I had milk and groceries in my car.



I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THAT OFFICE AGAIN!!! SAFE YOUR SANITY. FIND SOME OTHER DENTIST!



9/12/2011 update:

Received a letter from the dentist saying that their claim to my insurance was unsuccessful. I called up my insurance company. Not only that I found out a check has been sent to them 2 weeks ago, they over-billed me $48. And of course when I called them, nobody answered the phone. They have no call waiting so I have to leave a message. Phone tag begins :/

Would never trust Dr. Kwak's diagnosis again

I went in for a routine 6 month cleaning & was told they could not give me one because i needed a deep cleaning for over $400. I was also told I had a cavity which they would not take care of until i had paid them for the deep cleaning. I consulted another dentist for a second opinion. He told me that I had pregnancy gingivitis which is very common in pregnant and breast-feeding women and that I simply needed more frequent cleanings that most insurances cover. NOT a $400+ painful surgical procedure.
