Had an absolute pleasure working with Sunlight Contractors on insulating my home’s crawl space. They were professional, friendly and fair. The work only took a few hrs on my 1400 sq ft crawl space and my home saw an immediate improvement on climate control. I would highly recommend.

I can't say enough how pleased I am with Ira and his team at Sunlight Contractors! My house was staying around 81 degrees during peak heat hours even though my AC was set on 71. Less than 24 hrs after completing the spray foam job in my attic, my AC is set on 71 and it's staying 71 in my home!! July in New Orleans and 71 degrees in my home. Amazing!! I had the absolute best experience with Sunlight. Before getting the spray foam with them it would be 80 degrees in my house every day even with the air on. Now that it is done no matter what the temp outside my house remained at a cool and comfortable 73 degrees. The team was absolutely wonderful. Amazing company to work with! The crew arrived ready to go. The cleanup crew got rid of all the old insulation and even helped me move heavy stuff out of the attic. They cleaned up and couldn’t even tell they were here. Day 2/3 we had some surprises but nothing that couldn’t get done. Ira was in constant contact with me and his crew the whole time. Amazing crew, hard workers and very professional and polite. I will be recommending to anyone else that needs work done.

Day 1- George and a crew of 8+ people showed up to attack the attic. Within 2 hours 30 years of junk and old mold insulation was gone. They set up a plastic path through the house that saved the floors and walls from dirt or damage. The crew was very helpful in letting me set aside things of value while they cleared the attic.
Concurrently, filtered ventilation fans have been running the whole time to keep dust at a minimum. There is also a young lady going room to room and treating all surfaces for mold.
Once the attic is cleaned it will be sprayed for mold as will the AC system. A dehumidifier and UV system will be installed and then to attic sealed with open cell spray foam. The house will be tested for ‘tightness’ before and after foam application.
So far, Ira and his crew have been very responsive and easy to work with. This job should take a total of two days and I will update accordingly.

Update - dehumidifier installed and UV system in operation. crew is extremely professional and always clean up after themselves. The dehumidifier uncovered a problem pipe and this was dealt with by Ira’s crew promptly. Plumber was out within the hour, problem identified, repaired and drywall repair started. I am very impressed with this team.

Last day - Insulation team arrived at 0800 and set up equipment. They performed a pressure test on house measuring air coming into house via attic and other gaps. Total time to spray was about 4 hours. This is impressive given all the tight spaces that had to be reached. They ventilated the house to help remove odors and performed another leak test. Sunlight contractors sent a cleanup crew that spent 4 hours scraping up residual foam on the deck of attic. Really above and beyond! My parents were back in the house by 1600 with no odor to speak of. In a few days Ira will have someone come out and do an infrared survey looking for problem spots.

I’m so glad I went with Sunlight Contractors, Ira is great he makes sure the job is done right the first time and will make sure the customer is satisfied with the job. Ira is very knowledgeable and he will explain everything to you he will always answer his phone for any questions you might have and he will always take the time to answer any of your questions. Sunlight Contractors Spray Foam was outstanding. We renovated an old house in New Orleans and the original spray foam insulation was very poorly done. We did not realize it until we had HVAC problems and were told that there were multiple gaps, no fresh air return and about half the thickness of foam that should have been used. We called Sunlight and several other spray foam contractors to look at it and give us an estimate to do the job right. Sunlight was the most professional and communicated with us about the problems and their proposed solution. They finished the job by increasing the insulation and all of the other problems for less than the other contractors. They were in and out of the house in half a day and follow up with calls and checks of the house seal, fresh air line and attic fan. Outstanding company and would highly recommend. We should have contracted with them in the first place.

Absolutely extraordinary service! I contacted Sunlight Contractors when I had a leaky roof in my rental property that caused mold. My husband and I recently purchased a raised home. During the winter we experienced cold floors and high energy bills due to the subfloor not being insulated. We did research and learned spray foam would be the most effective insulation solution. Because it was a big project, we requested quotes from several companies. After having a full winter of cold floors and high energy bills in my newly purchased house I decided enough was enough and to get spray foam insulation. I contacted several companies for quotes. Sunlight Comtractors won my business for several reasons. They were very prompt in coming out to assess my home. When they came out for an estimate, Clayton discovered very high moisture levels under my home that needed to be remedied before spray foam could be applied. Clayton and Ira both explained and put in writing the approach that would be taken both to eliminate the moisture and insulate the subfloor. Selected this company to spray closed cell foam insulation in order to seal and properly insulate it. I did a lot of research of possible vendors that provides this service. However, Sunlight Contractors was the only one that was licensed and insured, trained and experience in my type of application and has the specialized equipment to do the job correctly. They were very affordable.

This company is very professional, an they stress their licensing and bonding and their technical understanding of the insulation business. They showed up on time for all appointments, did the work quickly and completely, with a minimum of hassle.

The results are that my house, a 110 year-old shotgun double camelback, is warmer during this cold snap, and the furnace is set off much less frequently. I'm sure my heating bills will be much less this winter.

Honestly, I had gotten on Angies List and called the person with the most & best reviews (which at the time was not Sunlight Contractors) and had them come out to give me a quote. The guy came out, and I was surprised when he didnt even get in the attic. He told me he would measure it from the outside. He wasnt here very long and was a nice enough guy. I actually had to call him several times after that to actually get the quote from him.

So I got back on Angies list and went to the next guys on the list which was Sunlight Contractors. I set up the meeting time with them. The difference in how Sunlight dealt with me as a perspective customer compared to the first guy was night and day. The same day that I set up the inspection appointment they emailed me a fact sheet on spray foam insulation and some web links on places that I could go to get more information about the type of spray foam that should be used in residential homes. I felt much more prepared after that. They also sent copies of their insurance and licenses that they held which I thought reassuring especially since they were being so upfront with it all. It felt like they didnt have anything to hide. Alan showed up on time and was extremely polite. He got up in the attic and when he came down, he not only explained to me what he thought we needed to do up there for insulation but he also pointed out some issues with our electrical that I didnt even know we had, which I really appreciated. He went to his car for about 15 mins and came back with the quote printed up in his hand. I didnt have to wait long at all and the quote was very detailed which was very nice to see.

When the installers came out to spray the foam, they showed up on time and were very polite. They explained to me what they needed as far as access to the attic and away they went. The process took about 6 hours all together. After watching those guys work I am super glad I didnt try and tackle that job myself. It is true what they say. Insulation is a young mans game. After they were done they cleaned up after themselves and didnt leave a mess anywhere.

I could tell the difference right away in the temperature in our house. We didnt have hardly any insulation up in our attic so it was real difficult to keep the whole house one temperature without a bunch of fans. Now we dont have any fans on all day long and the whole house stays an even 70° - 72°. I am super excited to see how much money we will be saving this summer!

I’m a building contractor and I renovate homes. I have a lot of experience with home building. I researched Sunlight Contractors and was very impressed with their licenses and certifications throughout the construction industry. I asked them to rearrange their schedule so I could get a sub floor spray foamed for one of my customers that I had a deadline to meet.
I told Sunlight Contractors the job was 1350 square feet and they gave me a price over the phone. I accepted and Sunlight Contractors sent me the contract and I agreed on all the terms and they came out today and inspected the job.
To my surprise the owner Corey Yates re measured the job and told me I was off by 150 square feet and he reduced the payment accordingly. They are not only a professional company but an honest one also. The job came out great and we will use Sunlight Contractors on all our jobs.

I contacted Sunlight because of the strong mildew odor in the house we just purchased. I have a particularly small crawl space and was impressed they were able to get under the house to offer a quote and subsequently perform the job. Their representative Ira was excellent to work with as were the young men that performed the actual service. Everyone was professional and friendly. The gentlemen performing the service were courteous and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished.

Sunlight contractors provided spray foam insulation in the attic and below the floors in an old single-family shotgun home that was always too hot or too cold.

It is a rental house and there was constant tenant turnover because the utility bills were too high and the place was uncomfortable. Through the summer, the thermostat was set at 73 or 74 and the temperature in the house stayed in the 80s.

I tried to fix the problem on my own by blowing in cellulose insulation twice, adding a radiant barrier in the attic, weatherstripping doors and sealing ductwork. I even had Entergy perform an audit on the electric meter. Nothing worked so I cut the rent to help with the high bills.
