I've been going here for years and this place has gone downhill. No matter the nice paint job they still have cockroaches running around. When you point them out to the nail ladies they say they're too scared to kill it! Seriously?! They have stopped caring about doing a good job and cut corners everytime. For example, instead of cutting your nails short they barely do a trim and they never clean the nails properly. Instead they do a shoddy job of cutting your nails irregular sizes. They make your toe nails appear skinny ontop because they can't get all the dead skin on the side of the nail. Isn't this basic service and knowledge? They really need to get their act together.
This is dirty place and people, they dont have much experiences about doing nail and design. The nails shop has been opening for up to 10 years but has changing more than 10 owner so that you can see how bad it is.
Most people call my Vickie at this salon but I wanted to write a review from a worker's perspective instead of a client. I currently have two bachelor's degrees in Business and in Spanish. Along with that, I am currently pursuing my MBA in graduate school. I work here as my side job because doing nails is one of my passions and my skill set as a manicurist exceeds most people in the region therefore I could work at any nail salon that I want but I stay here because I love my customers and I love working with the people here. When I make my clients happy, it makes me happy and that is how a business flourishes. This salon has been here since 2005 and so we have been in business for 12 years in the town of Kendallville. If we were not a good business entity, we would have closed down years ago. I want to write on behalf of the owners, as they are not apt to utilizing social media tools to promote their business. Although I am only one person and one voice cannot make a place look good or make much of a difference, I still want to voice truly what this business is about. The people here love what we do and it is our priority to satisfy our customers. I spend time on every customer that I have and I always try to do my best to make customers happy. Yes, I agree that the management and owners are at fault sometimes but running a business cannot be perfect. It is not a perfect world and we cannot make 100% of our customers happy. What we can guarantee is that we try our best to give every customer good service. And for everyone who read this whole post, I just want to thank you for your time for reading this.
They got new management. Best place in Kendallville to get your nails done!! They've got the best nail artist in town as well.
I was a regular customer for years. I sat and waited over 2 hours and person after person got called before me. Fake apps where to blame when I asked why they got called back. Then I asked for a discount for waiting so long and one worker was very rude and slapped a bill down to the lady doing my nails to give her extra money since I asked for a discount! I will never go back... they did a poor job anyway!
I will never step foot in this place again. (after being a regular customer for over 2 years) Lousy service, lousy customer service from manager. After getting a really bad jip job for a pedicure (lady skimping on everything and then not even putting on top coat) I nicely said I would only pay $20 for regular pedicure instead of $25 for the deluxe she was supposed to do. What happened was I got insulted by the pedicurist, and then insulted again by the owner/manager. He told me to "Go to those place in Fort Wayne...those Beauty Schools if you no like it here". Then he told me to "Never come back!" All this and he didn't even bother to hear to my side of the story. Was just a total jerk to me! NEVER AGAIN!!
