My mother was there for rehab after a stint in the hospital. She was sent there to help get her strength back. On her first day there she was given a pan of water and told to wash herself. She didn't have the strength at that time. Every time I walked in a smell of urine was awful. She had surgery one morning to put a dialysis port in her arm. She rung the nurses button for 30 that evening an no one came. I tried to call the desk from home, no one answered. My mother felt that she had taken all that she could at 45 minutes and call 911. Then and only then did they come in the room. There was the time that they "lost" my mother. My sister & I went to see her at 6:30 one night and they told us she was still at dialysis. Dialysis closed at 5 so I knew that wasn't true. She told me repeatedly that she didnt know were she was. I informed her that if my mother was not located within 30 min. the law would be there to help find my mama. She changed her story real quick then and said "you might want to check the er she might be there but im not sure." Another lie, she did know were she was. I heard that from the CNA who listened to the change over report. That's when I started to make arrangements to get her out. I accomplished this by signing AMA. As of now they are being very ugly about this. We needed to know what her current medication list was and they told us straight up with a smile on her face "We don't have to give you anything because you singed her out AMA". That place is lousy and I will not let my mother go back to that place. One last thing, my mama had had an accident and defficated on her bed. She laid in it for an hour before her husband arrived and cleaned her up. One other thing I witnessed one night was a man who had fell out of wheel chair. He kept trying to get up but kept falling back in the floor. I had to go and tell them he needed their help. I'm not sure how long it took them to help him or how long he had been in the floor before I saw him.
