Bayside Animal Hospital offers general veterinary surgery by appointment on weekdays. We conduct pre-anesthetic diagnostic tests and a thorough physical exam prior to the day of the surgery. Precautionary blood testing and exams help us determine if our patients have an illness or other complications that would put them at risk during surgery. The safety of our patients is our top priority and decisions regarding surgery are based on the results of these tests.
Laser Surgery

Pet diagnostics are a critical component of maintaining your pet’s health and treating illnesses or injuries. At Bayside Animal Hospital, we use our on-site laboratory to provide results with a minimal waiting period. We perform early detection screenings on our healthy patients, blood test all patients scheduled for surgery, and use our lab to identify abnormalities in sick animals.
X-Ray
At Bayside Animal Hospital, our exams dive deeper than the physical and visual assessments. Advanced tools help inform all our diagnoses and that includes digital radiography. Digital radiology is one our most important diagnostic tools. It’s faster and provides a clearer, more enhanced image than traditional x-ray images.

If your pet is not in need of medical boarding, we invite you to explore Bayside Bed and Biscuit for pet daycare and boarding services. Although each business utilizes separate staffing, Bayside Animal Hospital maintains a close working relationship with the Bed and Biscuit. You do not have to be a client of Bayside Animal Hospital to use any of the Bed and Biscuit services, but owners of patients at our clinic stay at the boarding facility with the reassuring knowledge that their regular veterinarian is working next door.
Senior Pet Care
Clients of Bayside Animal Hospital enjoy the option of utilizing our medical boarding services. In-patient care is available for our medically vulnerable patients including, surgical patients, senior pets, or sick or injured pets that require diligent monitoring. Medical boarding patients will have attentive care and timely treatments administered by our staff. Our facility is serene, quiet, and perfect for sensitive patients that are prone to stress or anxiety.
Animal Daycare

Small Animal Vet
Dr. Denise Wardall joined Bayside Animal Hospital in March 2019. She was born in Houston, Texas, but moved to Scotland at an early age and lived there for the next 25 years. She graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Edinburgh in 1989. After working in Scotland for 5 years, she and her husband moved to Texas. She has worked as a small animal veterinarian in the Clear Lake area since 2002, and lives in League City with her husband Ian and two cats, one a Maine Coon, the other a refugee from Saudi Arabia. Her two daughters live in the Austin area. Her special interests include feline medicine (she really loves cats!) and dermatology. Outside of work, she loves hiking, cooking, knitting and spending time with family and friends.
