I have been an AMEGY account holder since they were Southwest Bank of Texas. The Cinco Ranch branch is fabulous. I have experienced many years of fantastic service at AMEGY Bank and have never had any problems. AMEGY Bank has completely ruined my negative impression of banks.

I visited Icon Bank at the Cinco Ranch Banking Center early afternoon on December 30, 2015 to deposit a check into my landlord's account. I provided a check, name and account number for my landlord. The lady behind the counter (in her 60th) gave me a copy of my check and indicated that I can go now. I requested a receipt for my deposit. She became aggravated and said that a copy of my check is sufficient. She cannot give me a receipt because a transaction is not complete (?) and a receipt will have the client's account number. What?! I had an impression that she has never worked at the bank in her life. I found it to be the most unprofessional attitude. I have just provided the client's account number. Moreover, the account number was written on my check. The second person (a younger blond lady) came to the counter to participate and started to delete something in the computer. Both of them were most unfriendly and aggravated because of my request for a receipt. It took a few minutes before I got my receipt. No apology, no "thank you", no "have a good day" from both of them. I found employees at this Icon Bank branch to be the worst behaved people toward a customer I have ever seen or imagined. I will never visit this Icon Bank branch ever again.
Under the old management I would have ranked Ashley House 4 stars! It really was a great place to live. The management shifted in June 2014, and everything has since changed. If you are considering renting at Ashley House, please don't. Unfortunately I am roped in to the next 6 months. Just a week ago, I was notified that my rent was delinquent. I had paid it two weeks before. I was told that i would be charged a penalty of $75 if I did not pay immediately. I had to go to the office with my check book to prove to them that I had paid my rent. They later told me that they had storage rooms available for rent, but refused to rent one to me because they claimed to not know which ones were available. The apartment is great! really nice on the inside, but the new management company is incredibly hard to work with! Please take my advice and stay away :)
I made 2 purchases that cleared my account and two weeks later they went thru again putting me in the negative. I went to the bank and talked to the branch manager Paula Shaw. I asked her how that happened and she gave me some bogus excuse about it being the vendors fault. I asked for a refund of the fees and she told me that because it was not bank error, she would not refund my money. I felt like I had gotten ripped off and Paula Shaw was very uncaring. Not to mention she was dressed very poorly and unprofessional. She looked more like the maintenance lady than the branch manager. She told me that I could talk to any manger that I wanted to but that she was not gonnna return my money. She allowed me to walk out of that bank unhappy and unsatisfied for 2 overdraft fees rather than do the right thing and take care of the customer. I have never returned to that branch again. Nor will I ever.. Paula Shaw gets zero stars!!!!
My stay at Ashley House was less than luxurious. After paying our rent on time for 8 months, my husband obtained a job position that required our relocation. We had to submit a 60 day notice of our intent to vacate. This notice ended our stay at Ashley House on the 8th of January. Ashley House wanted nearly 3 thousand dollars within 2 weeks of the notice! We let them know that my husbands company would pay all the fees associated with the early termination of the lease. The office manager Monica called my husband at 5 on a Saturday telling him we would be evicted if we didnt pay the money and they would not honor our 60 day notice. I attempted to call her back on several occasion but never spoke to her. We were never evicted but she did lock us out of our apartment early 3 days early. The movers came on the 4th and we began the cleaning process. Not to receive a reimbursement on our deposit but simply because the gave me an itemized list of the things they would be charging for if not cleaned to their standards. On the 5th the locks were changed and we could no longer gain access to our apartment I need to point out this is 3 days before our lease would end. This is completely unacceptable and I do believe a breach of contract. After locking us out and refusing to allow us to clean the carpet they charged us 250 for cleaning. Not to mention. The shrubbery was overgrown, the beds were not mulched, the sprinkler systems were left malfunctioning for weeks without repair. During the day we could hear music and noise coming from the apartments below us. The thermostat in our apartment was ancient. It broke and maintenance came out three different times to "repair" the broken thermostat before it was replaced. The dryer had little pieces of plastic inside that would snag and ruin my clothes. It took forever to dry my clothes because the duct was clogged. The freezer door would not open completely due to the poor layout of the apartment. I would not pull out the ice tray. The keypad to the entry main had no light on it for 7 of the 8 months we resided at Ashley House. The dumpster was left open and trash was visible for days. The office staff never returns phone calls or answers the phone for that matter. HORRIBLE
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who go out of their way to help you.
