I have been an AMEGY account holder since they were Southwest Bank of Texas. The Cinco Ranch branch is fabulous. I have experienced many years of fantastic service at AMEGY Bank and have never had any problems. AMEGY Bank has completely ruined my negative impression of banks.
I visited Icon Bank at the Cinco Ranch Banking Center early afternoon on December 30, 2015 to deposit a check into my landlord's account. I provided a check, name and account number for my landlord. The lady behind the counter (in her 60th) gave me a copy of my check and indicated that I can go now. I requested a receipt for my deposit. She became aggravated and said that a copy of my check is sufficient. She cannot give me a receipt because a transaction is not complete (?) and a receipt will have the client's account number. What?! I had an impression that she has never worked at the bank in her life. I found it to be the most unprofessional attitude. I have just provided the client's account number. Moreover, the account number was written on my check. The second person (a younger blond lady) came to the counter to participate and started to delete something in the computer. Both of them were most unfriendly and aggravated because of my request for a receipt. It took a few minutes before I got my receipt. No apology, no "thank you", no "have a good day" from both of them. I found employees at this Icon Bank branch to be the worst behaved people toward a customer I have ever seen or imagined. I will never visit this Icon Bank branch ever again.
I made 2 purchases that cleared my account and two weeks later they went thru again putting me in the negative. I went to the bank and talked to the branch manager Paula Shaw. I asked her how that happened and she gave me some bogus excuse about it being the vendors fault. I asked for a refund of the fees and she told me that because it was not bank error, she would not refund my money. I felt like I had gotten ripped off and Paula Shaw was very uncaring. Not to mention she was dressed very poorly and unprofessional. She looked more like the maintenance lady than the branch manager. She told me that I could talk to any manger that I wanted to but that she was not gonnna return my money. She allowed me to walk out of that bank unhappy and unsatisfied for 2 overdraft fees rather than do the right thing and take care of the customer. I have never returned to that branch again. Nor will I ever.. Paula Shaw gets zero stars!!!!
