Services: Septic Tanks, Drain Cleaning
I called this outfit to try and diagnose a leak that we could not find. The woman I spoke with said, "If you don;t know where the leak is, we can't fix it." Me, "you are a plumbing company right? Isn't that what you do is find leaks?" Her, "again, if you don't know where the leak is, we can't do anything about it." I suggest you run away from these people fast. They are a train wreck and after calling several people who actually know what customer service is, they put this company (and I use that term loosely) to shame.

I saw the bad post from 2007 and have to disagree. I have used Razor Rooter about every 18 months for 10 to 15 years. I get tree roots in my sewer lines, they come out, go to my basement, run their machine and about a half hour later everything is running fine again. Usually they come the same day.
I had one mediocre experience with one of their guys who thought I was an idiot but I dont put these guys on auto pilot - I was in the house and knew what he did and didnt do. I argued my point and only paid the service he performed. End of story and I dont think that guy is with them anymore.
The bad review mentioned Don Edmisteen. I know they originally were both Anytime Sewer Service and Razor Rooter. They had a problem with (I think it was) a previous owner and had to discontinue the name Anytime Sewer Service.
If you are looking for a service company - dont depend just on what the other review said - there is something wrong with that review based on my own experience numerous times over numerous years.

This service responded after I called a different company. They accessed 2 clean outs inside - and drilled 2 holes in the sewer pipe (must be why they are called Razor Rooter). They did not clean out the drain. Demanded payment anyway. Then, they wanted almost $2,000 to fix the sewer. I cleaned the drain out myself with a drain king.
Called and asked Razor whether they had really drilled 2 holes in sewer pipe (they pulled the Razor Rooter out with mud on it in both locations). Instead of calling me, they sent their guy out to video the now functioning sewer pipe. I happened to see the dilapidated truck and stopped in to see what was up. Yep, their guy was running a video thingy down the drain. Yep, they drilled 2 holes. Nope, there were no roots in the line anywhere. Nope, the line was not collapsed, not even after they had cut it to pieces. The guy refused to make a tape for me.
Two hours later Edmisten called me to ask whether I wanted to pay him the almost $2,000 to fix the sewer line that his man drilled? I stated that I did not want to pay him to repair the damage that his guy caused. Edmisten then gave me advice on reproductive acts that I should do to myself and hung up.
I called back and repeated my request that he fix the sewer that his guy damaged. Edmisten then said that he would stop by and kick my buttocks, and hung up.
I called back and repeated my request. Edmisten told me that he has been fixing sewers for 30 years. I congratulated him and asked him to fix my sewer, that his man drilled because roots will soon grow into the sewer line and will cause tremendous blockage problems. Edmisten told me to stop calling him and that he was going to Kick my buttocks if I did call again, and hung up.
This is what I experienced.
So, if you have a sewer that needs to have holes drilled in, holes that certainly will attract tree roots, be sure to call Razor Rooter Edmisten. Thirty years of customer service has honed his ability to listen.
