I wish I could go back in time & NEVER chose to have a surgery by Dr Bleazard. I have had to have multiple surgeries since his to correct what couldn't & I will have permanent areas of damage. He sent me back to work way too soon, never explained things through to where I was able to understand what & why I was hurting so bad,& after putting me through the painful ringer washed his hands of me when he couldn't figure out how to help me. Instead of telling me from the beginning he Really didn't know what needed to be done & sent me on to someone else. Now I'm in my twenties & am disabled. Wish I could give this place negative stars.
Did not have a good experience. It started off with the X-Ray dept. X-Ray machine was out dated. Had to lay on my back and with my knees folded, physically hold the film in my hands while they shot X-Rays. Eventually, I needed MRI's, and Dr Bagby diagnosed me with torn meniscus in one, possibly both knees. ( Said he couldn't tell if the other knee was torn because I have already had arthroscopy on that knee. He said he would have to actually do surgery on it to "find out" if I need surgery.) So then I was told to call Annie, his nurse and schedule surgery on my choice of knee. I called her, got a machine, (you can never get a live person there) and left all the information for a call back. I didn't hear nothing for 7 days. Then, I missed her call. So I called back and of course got the machine again. Annie finally called me 3 days later, ( For a total of 10 days). But am going elsewhere. I also sent 2 emails and received no response. It felt like cows being led to the slaughter house.
Worst place to go for anything, they are in any workers compensation back pocket, I had a knee surgery and was released back to work with restrictions 2 weeks later, my restrictions were sit down job only, no kneeling, pivoting, squatting, the nurse gave me these restrictions and actually seemed like she cares about my recovery. I reported back to work still hurting and half way through the day I felt a pop and a pain in my incision, they though I hurt my knee again so they sent me home with a apointment to see the surgeon to see if I indeed re injured it again, my wok comp lady at work said those restrictions were too much and said it should only be no kneeling and squating, I did not pay no attention to her because she is NOT a doctor, the next week I went back and saw Dr. Bleazard and he did not even check me out he just looked at my knee, and said looks good I am going to release you to work and make your new restrictions no kneeling and no squating, I was like wow, I will get a real check up when I go a real doctor my workers comp lawyer is going to send me to when Dr. Bleazard tells me I'm a 100% when I go back in a few weeks, DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A CHOICE, the only reason I am going here is because have no choice because it is a work comp case!
HORRIBLE, RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF! I SEE THEY HAVE NOT IMPROVED OVER THE YEARS! PHONE SYSTEM ALLOWS THEM TO SEE YOUR CALL, HOW MANY TIMES, REGARDLESS IF YOU TALK TO ANYONE. BE SURE TO CALL PRIVATE!! LOOK CLOSELY AT THE 5 STAR REVIEWS. NOTICE A PATTERN? MOST SOUND LIKE ADS. COINCIDENTALLY 2 ARE BACK TO BACK, SAME DAY 1/8/15....
I have been a patient for over a year now. At first I was not impressed with the office staff but over the last few months the group has made some significant changes in how the office functions and now things run much smoother. It's refreshing to know they listened to their patient's complaints and improved the things that were a problem. The providers there are some of the best around and I appreciate their skill and talent in handling my case. I highly recommend them to anyone.
We are grateful for the absolutely positive experience with Northland Bone and Joint and Dr. James Reardon. The office staff was very helpful to schedule a timely appointment. The front desk staff were very friendly. We were seen promptly at our appointment time with no wait. Michelle measured my son for a brace. She demonstrated great expertise and answered all of our questions. Dr. Reardon's exam was thorough and we appreciated him reviewing the MRI with us. We were very pleased with the professionalism of Dr. Reardon and his staff. I would highly recommend Northland Bone and Joint and Dr. Reardon for anyone needing orthopedic care.
If I could rate this a zero stars, I would!!!. I went to one Dr. with an ankle problem. He never looked at my scans or my ankle. I was referred to another Dr. and had to pay ANOTHER $30 co-pay. When asked why, when I didn't receive ANY services from the first Dr. they couldn't say. They are not courteous and definitely don't make patients feel welcome. An elderly lady came in while I was waiting and they treated her as if she was bothering them. Horrible place. Find another office to visit. I would not want to be under the care of these doctors while under anesthesia.

If I could rate this as zero stars, I would!!! This office is awful! I recently had surgery and they drug their feet about appointments and contacting insurance. They never call you back when you have questions or answer the phone to begin with. I had to ask several times about what I was supposed to do post-surgery because no one tells you and then they act like they are totally put off by you asking. There is no such thing as bed-side manner with this office group! You would be much better suited spending your insurance (and possibly out-of-pocket) money elsewhere!

I've had the pleasure of associating with physicians and staff at Northland Bone & Joint at all locations. Their staff are pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. The physicians are some of the best orthopedic surgeons in the Metro area. I would trust and one of the physicians to provide medical care for anyone of my family and/or friends, including myself.

The Dr we saw, Harlan, had the personality of wallpaper. Not conversational or informational. Not a helpful individual & did not give me any confidence in his abilities as a Dr at all. The scheduler, Danielle, was quite rude to me on the phone when I tried to schedule a procedure. She gave me the impression that I was bothering her & because of these experiences, I will never go to this office again.

At Northland Bone and Joint, I had Great care; very competent staff, In both front office and in patient waiting rooms. In May 2011, I had my knee worked on by Dr. Reardon and,I have had three surgeries on my left leg, ankle, and now my left knee. Dr. Reardon has been the one that showed the most care and compassion out of all 3 Orthopedics, I have delt with all thru the times of my surgeries. I found his staff to be caring and competent. I was extremely happy with my care at his Liberty office, the North Kansas City Hospital office as well as- Creekwood Surgery Ctr where my surgery was done. I will be happy to toot their horn anytme. signed A Happy Patient!

Unfortunately my experience is not one I savor. After an ACL replacement which did not help with the pain. I was treated like I was in a fast food restaurant, move em through and do the next one. I cannot get them to finish the follow up report so I can get this settled with my insurance company, and this has taken about two months. I get put on hold, in voicemail, and blown off with excuses the Dr is in a clinic or had a meeting a convention. It is a report that takes a half an hour to complete but they do not have the time to finish it. The tone is always rude like I am bothering them. Stay away.

I am in need of knee replacements in both knees. I have been a patient of Dr. Thomas's for the last 5 years. I get excellent treatment. I have short waits, great service with the staff, and no problem getting in. A year and half ago I broke my shoulder and Dr. Smith treated me. He talked to me like I was a person, not a number. I would refer any of my family or friends to this group. I have never had any problems with anything and if I had questions, I got answers in a timely manor.

I needed records faxed from NKC to a clinic in St. Louis on a Monday. Today is Wednesday. NB&J transfers records ONLY on Wednesdays. I was in their office at 1:45 on Wed and the person had left for the day.
The best answer I could get from their staff record person was ""I will do my best"" to get the files faxed to St. Louis for my Monday appointment for my daughter. This was Donna. I asked Donna to speak with her boss, Frank.
Frank was clearly not used to dealing with people, just papers. I found him patronizing and argumentative, particularly since I was already fuming from the incompetence at the front desk.
Why is is to difficult to understand that there is little point in driving 5 hours for an appointment with a specialist in another city, if I can't be sure the records have been transferred by NB&J?
I was told they have ""Thousands of patients"". Yes, well I have ONE daughter that is in pain, and they can't help her?
Go to KU Med instead.

If you're lucky enough to get an appointment, meaning they answer the phone (I've been on hold as long as 27 minutes before they answer) and they make your appointment to see Doctor...then you're all set. Hopefully your luck will continue, if not then when you show up for your appointment which I'm sure you're early for and wait the 40 -90 minutes that they typically make you wait...bring a book as they don't have any magazines (NKCH office anyway). I also had them schedule my appointment for the Doctor, which was 10 days after my surgery, and I get there and I'm going to see his PA (and she's really frightening...she is a close talker...no respect for your space!) and not him. I asked after my appointment if I have to pay the whole co-pay or do I get a discount because I didn't see an actual Physician? No, I did not get a discount.
I recommend the Physician.... just not the staff.
Oh...did I mention that all the staff I've dealt with in the last 6 months are very rude.

They tell you on the phone your set for tests you get there and your not, they schedule tests and another follow up visit so they can rook you and your insurance out of more money. Unconcerned, they fail to follow through and when they mess up you are stuck waiting a month or more to get in to see a doctor when they failed to finalize an appointment in their computers.
